You said you hate my childish ways:

My very face and voice...

I longed for love and yearned for praise,

But I don't have a choice.

You've locked me out and doused the pride

That long I cherished so.

I could but hide the pain inside;

My spirit's crushed and low.

Since in this place I cannot find

An ally or a friend,

I'll turn to go, I've made my mind...

My feelings I'll defend.

I'll walk away to places where

No heartaches freely roam...

I'll live my life with pleasure there:

A place which I'll call home.

When I have gone, I won't return

So you'll be glad and free.

What I shall leave will fade and burn...

But it means naught to me.

A/N: I wrote this in class. haha. Perhaps @MyHeartIsInCanada saw me doing it. Hey Treska! This is for you. =)
