When morning came

The sunshine came through the window and shined over me like a ray of hope.

Hope that he would get better.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes which were still adjusting to the bright light.

He'll be fine. Right?

I slipped on some clothes and tidied up my room (again) and headed out.

I had a slight feeling of anxiety as I came closer to his room.

I took a deep breath and hoped for the best, but ruining the moment Hanji burst out of the door like a jack in the box.

"LEVI!!! LEVI LEVI LEVI!!! OH, IM SO GLAD YOU CAME!!!"

She ran to me and had that crazy look in her eyes.

"You reeaaally need to see this. Heheh... It's so interesting, really..."

She looked back to Eren's door.

"See what..? What could be so interesting..?"

She gave me that crazy smile. "You'll see!"

She grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the room quite swiftly.

When we were in there the shock hit me like a freight train.

Eren was holding up his shirt for the astounded doctors to check his wound.

Or what used to be his wound.

"It's gone. No trace of it except a small scar. This should've taken at least a month to heal completely! But it's gone..." The doctor touched at it and Eren was fine with it. You would expect him to at least feel a little pain.

He looked up. "Oh, Levi!" He smiled brightly.

"Hey brat..." I said still trying to take all of this in.

Hanji came up to me again.

"Can you believe it? Nothing! Just a scar! It's almost as if it healed overnight!!! It's so fascinating!!!"

"Hanji please don't to what I think you're going to do..."

"Oh come on, an experiment or two couldn't hurt right?"

I gave her a pissed off look.

"Yes. It could."

She saddened and sat down. "Fiiiine."

I walked over to Eren. "Feeling alright?"

He smiled and nodded. "I feel fine."

"That's good." I looked around at all the people in the room.

Now wasn't the time to tell him.

A few minutes passed and Hanji stood up and stretched. "Hey I'm heading to my lab. Levi are you going to stay here?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

The doctors checked him again. "You might want to take a few extra days to rest."

"Okay. I will. Thanks."

The doctors left.

I took a deep breath. Now was the time.

I sat on the bed next to him.

"Eren... There was something I forgot to ask you."

He looked at me and cocked his head. "What... What is it?"

I took his hand and looked him in the eyes.

"Eren. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I can't stand being without you... And I need to protect you too. So... Eren... Will you spend the rest of your life with me?"

He stared at me kind of astonished.

Then he smiled. "R-Really? You mean it?"

I nodded.

And I've never seen a happier expression on anyone's face.
