"Heichou... I'm so sorry..."

Tears streamed down my face.

"I should've tried to catch up with the group... But I-"

I was interrupted by a tight hug.

"H-Heichou?"

He hugged even tighter.

"Just Levi..."

"Eh?"

"You don't have to call me Heichou... Just Levi..."

I put my arms around him.

"Okay, Levi..."

He let go of me.

But the thing that really shocked me was that...

He was crying too...

"Levi... Are you okay? I've never seen you cry before..."

He wiped away his tears and took a deep breath.

"I'm fine.. I just let my emotions come out is all..."

I wondered then why he showed emotion toward me and no one else. He had blushed at me before... And now he was crying for me.

Did he... Like me?

As soon as the thought crossed my mind, I heard a loud thumping noise.

Titans...

"Shit..." Levi got up weakly.

"More of them?" I looked around and counted three.

"We need to get back inside the walls..."

He tried to maneuver up the walls, but his gear was jammed.

"Shit... What do we do now...?"

I looked around frantically.

Levi looked over to me. "What about your gear?"

"I can't carry a grown man!!!"

"Brat, I asked about your gear, not if you could carry me..."

I maneuvered a few feet away from him.

"It's good..."

I walked back to him.

He came up to me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Go. Get inside the walls."

What? Was Levi asking me to leave without him?

"No way in hell I'm leaving without you!"

He blushed very softly.

But then he got angry. "Brat, I can't get over the wall, my gear is br-"

"THEN YOU TAKE MY GEAR!!! I'll survive for a few hours while you go get help!"

That shut him up.

"I'm a titan, remember..? If I do get hurt, I'll just regenerate..."

He sighed and looked at the ground, seemingly trying to think.

But in the midst of our debating atmosphere, the titans started getting close enough so we could hear its footsteps.

Levi looked up. "Shit..."

"We need to fight them off, or one of us to go... No were going to fight them off!"

I pulled out my swords and started running.

"EREN!!! HAVE YOU GONE MAD?" He ran after me and pulled my arm.

"LEVI WE NEED TO-"

He interrupted me.

"I can't fight, remember? My gear is jammed!!"

The Titan was pretty much right next to us.

I jerked away, and maneuvered up into the Titan.

"EREN!!!"

But the Titan didn't like that very much.

The Titan swung his hand at me causing me to drop my blade.

But right after I dropped it, I feelt an extremely painful slice on the side of my stomach.

I couldn't help but scream.

I could feel the blood running down my shirt, soaking the whole right side of it, along with a little bit of my jacket.

And the last thing I saw was the sky before blacking out into a seemingly endless state of unconsciousness...
