It has been days since he had that confession to his wife.  Matapos yun, wala na siyang ginawa kundi iwasan si Moira.  He avoids her like a plague.  He is back to waking up at his usual hour—three o' clock in the afternoon.  Palagi siyang nagkukulong sa study room niya o magpagabi sa opisina—na bihira niyang gawin noon.

He is the owner of the mansion but everything in his house will remind him about Moira.  He is not himself today while looking at the updates about Rockford Project.  Geoff compiled all the details about it and gave it to him to approve.  The entertaining venture becomes very tedious now.  What's wrong with him?  Bakit nawawalan siya ng gana?  Dahil ba sa namimiss niya si Moira?  Hindi pa niya nakikita ito mula noong magkasagutan sila noong isang umaga.  Napatingin siya sa may hardin niya at may nakikita na naman siyang pinaayos doon.  Napahagod siya ng buhok at napabuntong hininga.  The garden, his hallway and the blasted library will remind him of Moira.

If he will not be careful, she will also leave a mark on him.  Then the sudden ring of his phone surprises him.  He answers it without looking at the caller.  "Hello, Geoff."  He immediately assumes it is his secretary.

"Did you just answer my call?"  He hears an unfamiliar female voice.  "Who is this?"

"Belinda Diaz.  I miss you, Ivo.  I still want you."  He finally remembers her.  He has been avoiding that woman.  She was his desperate obsessive girlfriend  who wanted to redeem him—but failed.   Hindi niya malaman kung bakit niya biglang nasagot ang phone nang hindi tinitignan ang phone niya.  Nireject na lang niya ang call at nilapag sa desk niya ang phone katabi ng report ni Geoff.  He buries his head in his hands.  He misses his banters with Moira.  The way she her glasses fog when she is angry or flushed.  Then the realization astounds him.  He is becoming addicted to his wife.  Damn this ennui, the mind-numbing clutches of boredom.  He used to be okay, until the delirious girl in Santorini turned his life upside down.  Cold Turkey.  That is the only way to get his mind off of her.

He gets his phone and dials Geoff's number.  "Hello.  How was the investigation going?"

"Uhm, sir, may information na po kaming nakuha tungkol kay Tatiana Argonese-Sta. Brigida."  He

asked his secretary to do an investigation on her sister-in-law.

  "I see.  Saan siya nakatira?  Sa Benguet?"

"Opo.  Kasama ang bago niyang asawa."  Kumunot ang noo ni Ivo.  Bagong asawa?  Hindi niya maintindihan ang report ni Geoff.  "Ano?  Bagong asawa?"

"Yes sir."  Sinabi niya kay Geoff na pupunta siya ngayon ng kumpanya.  Titignan niya ang reports ni Geoff tungkol sa hipag niya.

Pagbaba niya, nagulat na lamang siya nang salubungin siya ni Fred.  Bihis na bihis ito at maganda ang ngiti sa kanya.
