** Happy New Year Everyone!! **

Hud: Pardos

Hud pulled up a synopsis screen of his ship in the dark hangar. It's systems were used, but fully functional; battery power was up, armor was fine. All it needed was a connection to a power well to make the trip, so he quickly paid for a remote connection through the screen.

The ship was small. It was meant to seat two but when Hud got inside, there was no room for anyone or anything else. It was of Ciyto design, with a smooth headed cockpit at the front and long wings that curved up toward the front. Hud liked the thing. It was junk compared to the rest of the Rhaa technology that was kept in the hanger, but it flied well and fast and that's all Hud needed.

He checked the ship's computer for the information regarding the mission. Looks like he was headed for some small forsaken planet in the Gallidon universe. Maybe a five-day's trip.

Hud smiled to himself. Four days in the little hunk of metal. Ohhh-boy.

"Hud." Said a deep voice from the nearby shadows in the spacious room.

Hud spun around nervously. He thought he had been alone in the dark hanger.

"Keep quiet Hud. I wanna talk to you."

Hud tensed as he searched the surrounding area. He could see no one, but the voice sounded like Gaunth.

"Howdy, Gaunth." Said Hud, still not sure where to look.

Then he found him. Gaunth was leaning up against a large pillar in the shadows a little ways from Hud and the ship.

"What the hell does 'Howdy' mean?"

Hud smiled at the old Rhaa. "It's a cowboy thing."

"Hud." Said Gaunth again, shaking his head. "Listen to me. I want to talk to you before you leave. But not here."

Gaunth dropped his voice even quieter and took a step closer to Hud. "You know that generator room near the south entrance?"

Hud nodded slowly. What was this about?

Gaunth's voice dropped to a silent whisper. "In one hour, meet me in the room across the hallway from that room."

Hud strained to hear what the Rhaa was saying.

"Make sure nobody sees you. NOBODY, Hud." Finished Gaunth.

Hud could barely make out what Gaunth had said, and before he could respond, the Rhaa slipped back into the shadows and disappeared.
