Taylor's POV

"Well, the thing I wanted to tell you was that...Taylor, I'm your--"

Taylor! Michael invaded my mind and I held my hand up, stopping Grayson.

What's wrong, Mike? His voice sounded like it was an emergency.

You have to come downstairs, NOW! There are rog--He was suddenly cut off. I flew out of the room to them and urgently searched for someone. The living room was a complete mess; all the furniture was ripped to shreds, the mirrors and anything else glass broken, and pieces of a wooden table covered the floor. How had I not heard this?

"Michael?" I called out loud and through the link. "Michael! Answer me, dammit!" I gasped. Grayson came down, his eyes taking in the scene before him.

"Rogues." He cursed under his breath.

Archer.

I sprinted up to his room right in time to see a brown wolf carry him out through the window.

"Archer!" I cried. I dived at the wolf, but it jumped out of the room, Archer in its jaws. Without stopping, I shifted and chased the brown wolf. We were outside in the woods now and I growled at it, the sound echoing.

It tried to growl back, but it was muffled with Archer in its mouth.

"Taylor!" Archer's tearful cry broke my heart and my anger increased. He was struggling against the rogue's muzzle but cried out in pain almost immediately as the rogue clamped down its jaws a little tighter, teeth digging into Archer's body.

I'm going to kill you, I promised, sending the brown mutt a visual of what I had in mind for it,

How are you in my mind? Judging from the deepness of its voice, I suspected the brown wolf was male. I circled him and grinned, revealing my razor sharp teeth.

I snarled, mouth curled in a vicious grin. I can be in any werewolf's mind. Wherever, and whenever.

Th-that's impossible, he gaped, taking a step back. His eyes were wide with fear. I'm a rogue an-and you're only supposed to be able to mind-link with people in your pack or your mate.

I halted in front of him and growled, feeling my silver eyes turn black.

I'm an exception. Was all I said before I pounced on him. I aimed for his neck and he was dead in less than a minute. I had wanted him to suffer a bit more for taking Archer, but I restrained myself for Archer's sake. I shifted back, my clothes falling back in place and I bent down to a bawling Archer. He jumped straight into my arms and buried his small face into my neck.

Dammit, Taylor, my wolf scolded. You should've kept him alive so he could tell you where the others are!

I'm sorry, but Archer was my first priority.

Okay, but don't let it happen again.

"Shh," I murmured, rubbing his back. "It's okay, sweetie, everything's gonna be alright. I'm here, I'll protect you, okay?" I felt him nod and his breathing slowed before he stopped crying.

"T-Taylor?" He sniffled. "Where's my brother?"

I hugged him tightly and whispered, "That's a good question, but, sadly, I don't know the answer." With Archer in my arms, I dashed back to the ruined home.

"Taylor!" Grayson yelled. He came out of the house, his eyes darker than normal and when he saw me, he jerked me into his chest. Grayson took a deep breath, shutting his eyes and when he re-opened his eyes, they were back to its normal midnight blue.
