EDENS POV*

I stood outside the door of the dungeon. I paced up and down the hallway. Sam said he had a plan to make dean human again. He had me bless and purify some donated blood he got from the hospital. He was planning to use it on Dean. So needless to say I was mildly panicking. Dean wasn't awake yet. Sam wanted to be the only one in the room when he wakes up.

I heard talking. My eyes glowed blue as I listened in.

"What the hell?.... Sam? Well this is a surprise" I heard dean as he groggily came to. "Where is Eden?" Dean asked. Sam ignored his question and pulled out the cooler of blessed blood. "Really?" Dean asked sarcastically "For whatever it's worth, I got your blood type." Sam responded pulling out the first vial. "Sam, I know you think you're gonna try and fix me, but ... did it ever occur to you that maybe I don't want to be fixed? Just let me go live my life. I won't bother you. What do you care?" Dean said. "What do I care?" Sam got the holy water, splashing it on the floor as he begins chanting in Latin. "You think I'm just gonna sit here like Crowley? Getting all weepy while you shoot me up? Well, screw that. I don't want this!" Dean shouted angrily. "Yeah, I pretty much figured that out" Sam responded. "You don't even know if this is gonna work, do you? You know, I got a hell of a lot more running through me than just demon juice."Dean said. "Mark of Cain, got it." Sam continued with his work. Sam took the syringe of blood in his hand as he walked closer to Dean. "Buckle up." Sam remarked "Sammy ... You know I hate shots." Dean said snarkily. "I hate demons." Dean's eyes go black a second before Sam hits him with holy water. Dean yelled as his skin sizzles, and Sam plunged the needle into his arm. Dean groaned as Sam empties the syringe into his arm. "Look, we got a whole bunch more of these to go. You could make it a lot easier on yourself." Dean's eyes widen as he grunts and groans, the blood already taking some effect. I pray to Dad this works.

"Is the treatment working?" I asked Sam a few hours later. "No, not very well. Look, it—it's not like it was with Crowley. Dean is in pain. I mean, he's in bad pain. It's like he's barely holding on. Eden... I might be killing him." Sam said sadly. I nodded my head "It might be." "So ... what? Should I stop?" I shrugged my shoulders"And do what? He's not possessed. Exorcism is out of the question. The ritual of purified blood is the only treatment I know. I looked through all of Heaven's books. I may be God but I was away for a very long time... I know nothing about demons or the mark... So until we come up with something better let's just keep doing what we're doing." Sam nodded then turned around to see Dean exactly where he left him, but completely still. Sam walked over and slaps Dean across the face. "Hey! Hey! DEAN! Come on! Come back." Sam yelled. Dean's voice says in only a whisper. "No." "Come back to me. You there? Hey! Dean, you okay?" I said panicking. I placed my hand on his cheek and he leaned into it. "Yeah, if you ... consider drowning in your own sweat while your blood boils "okay."" Dean responded weakly.

"Look, I can't stop doing this." Sam said. "Sure you can. You just stop! There's no point in trying to bring your brother back now." Dean responded. "Oh, I will bring him back"

"In fact, your uh... guilt-ridden, weight-of-the-world bro has been M.I.A. for quite some time now. But I'm loving the new model: Lean, mean, Dean." Dean spat still resting his face in my palm. "You notice I tried to get as far away from you as possible? Away from your whining, your complaining. I chose the King of Hell over you! Maybe I was just ... tired of babysitting you. Or always having to yank your lame ass out of the fire since ... Forever. Or maybe ... Maybe it was the fact that my mother would still be alive if it wasn't for you. That your very existence sucked the life out of my life!" Dean laughed. "This isn't my brother talking." Sam said shaking his head. "You never had a brother! Just an excuse for not manning up. But guess what: I quit." Dean spat. "No. No, you don't. You don't get to quit. We don't get to quit in this family! This family is all we have ever had!" Sam said sadly.  "Well, then, we got nothin'." Dean responded. "Would you say that to Dad?" Sam asked. "Dad? Oh, there's a prize. There's a man who brainwashed us into wasting our lives fighting his losing battle!" Dean finally took his face from my hand and I took a step back by sam. Sam turned away and preparing the next syringe. "Oh. Ooh. Is this you manning up?" Dean mocked. "This is me yanking your lame ass out of the fire." Sam jabbed the needle into Dean's arm, filling his veins with the purified blood. "You're welcome." Sam walked out of the room, leaving Dean gasping in pain behind him.

"Dean?" I said rushing towards him. He growled and thrashed in pain. "Eden make it stop! Please Eddie make it stop!" He moaned looking at me. I brushed the fallen hairs of his sweaty forehead. "I can't do that dean. We gotta make you better..." Dean shook his head, "I'm not broken... I DON'T NEED TO BE FIXED." I smiled at Dean. "Honey you were broken long before that mark... We're all broken. I should know. But for the first time in a long time I can do something to help." "I like the way I am now. This is who I am!!!" His eyes went black. "NO! You're just like lucifer. Broken. and that DAMN mark is making you something you're not... You know who you are. You are the hunter. The good man. The man who went to hell and stopped the damn apocalypse for his brother. The man who saved me. The man I L--" I cut myself off tears streaming down my face. "You are worth saving... so that's what i'm gonna do." I kissed his forehead and began to walk out. "Don't leave!... P-please eddie don't leave me." Dean whimpered. I walked back over to him and hugged around his neck. "I have to Dean-o... gotta go make sure you don't die on me ok?" I leaned back and looked into his eyes. Then I saw it.. Just a glimpse. But it was still there... Dean... My Dean. Not the Demon. But the righteous man.

I brushed some of the sweat from his face and flew off to Heaven to do more research.

3rd PERSON POV*

In the bunker, Sam went to Dean's room, looking around. He walked over and found a slice of pie, flipped over a page in a notepad to see pictures of Dean and Mary, Mary and John, Sam, Dean and Eden,Bobby, and two pictures of Sam and Dean. Sam had tears in his eyes as he looked at the pictures of himself and his brother, then he sighed as he dropped the pictures back where he found them, walking from the room. Sam walks back into the dungeon to find the chair Dean has been sitting in ... Empty.
