Chapter 41: Teamwork

Royalty POV

I sat and listened to Keshia and Jewel as they gave me the latest update on this nigga Knuck. We've been doing a little investigation of our own on him without Qua knowing and the shit we was finding out was beyond me.

"So this nigga fuckin wit Latoya ? Qua's ex and the same broad that left her child on our door step saying that was Quavo's baby" I scoffed.

"Yupp! Obviously she left and went to Louisiana for awhile, but for whatever reason she's back and more than likely setting all of us up for sum messy shit" Keshia shook her head

"So what do we do now? We can't let Qua go back in the studio wit him"

"No!" Set interrupted. "He's gotta.. if he up and let him go especially wit the money he paying just for a studio session wit Qua he'll know sum is up and we can't have that .. we just all gotta take turns equally going to the studio with him ..."

Soon we all agreed and after awhile Keshia left leaving me and Set alone

"So how's everything going with the vow renewal?" He asked leaning against the counter

"Really well.. 15 days away" I smiled to myself

"I'm really proud of y'all.... y'all came along way from being childish as hell to a power couple.. I remember when y'all first got married nobody could tell y'all shit about each other.."

"We was something" I thought back on everything we had been through. "I'm glad we actually stuck through it all if not we wouldn't be here today"

And I was.. me and Qua have been through hell and high waters almost loosing each other and a life we created .... I couldn't imagine my life without Quavious in it.

Pretty soon Qua walked in with a duffle bag on his shoulder leaning against the counter

"What's that?" I nodded towards the bag

"I did another session wit him and this time he tripled the payment" He unzipped the bag dumping out over 20 grand on the counter

"Did he say why?"

He shrugged. "He said he would be going out of town for awhile and when he come back he'll be low on cash so he paid me for advance studio sessions... I mean ion know what the hell is going on but ion feel right about nun of it"

"Well.. I'll let you know if anything going on" Set dapped him up. "I'll see y'all lata"

He left leaving us alone

"I think we should renew our vows on the 30th" He mentioned

"That's in less than a week... you really think I'm gonna have enough time to plan that shit?"

"It ain gon be nobody but family and friends... 15 people at the most... please"

I sighed finally giving in. "Fine! I'll put a rush on my dress and you have to get Yatè fitted for his tux"

He nodded kissing my forehead walking out the kitchen leaving me to think about the shit him and Set told me ... this shit was too much.

Quavious POV

I laid back on the bed thinkin about the shit Knuck hit me wit... all of a sudden he was acting weird as hell and just up and canceling about two weeks session is just odd and not giving an exact explanation why.. I ain feel comfortable wit what was going on and I knew for a fact Set and Ro knew sum was up

"Qua I'm going to your moms I'll be back later!!" To yelled from downstairs. I hopped up and went downstairs

"I'll go witchu... I ain seen mama in a minute"

She nodded and walked out the house with me following her.

I hadn't seen mama in a while but I didn't want Ro leaving out by herself wit Knuck knowing where we stay and what we drive I wasn't trynna chance shit

By the time we got to mama house I had noticed a unfamiliar car in the driveway. I got out not waiting on Ro heading in the house to see Latoya talking to Take and he didn't seem all that thrilled to hear what she had to stay I stood out of view and listened to what I could. I was distracted by Royalty walking in I quickly grabbed her wrist pulling her in the other room wit me

"What the fuck!"

"Shhhh!! Latoya here and no I don't know why... but I'm pretty sure you do" I raised my brow

"No I don't..." She shrugged and I knew she was lying

"Alright"

I left it alone for now but I knew damn well she knew what the fuck was going on and she was gon tell me one way or another.
