•Chapter 16• Back At One

Two months later

Royalty POV

I brushed Sky's hair in a ponytail while Qua talked on the phone with his mom. Today was baby girl first birthday and everything had to be perfect! Coach and P insisted on giving her a QC themed birthday party and I couldn't wait to see what they did! As for me and Qua we're back together and I moved back in with him and for once in life I feel complete. I didn't realize how much I missed him until I moved back in.. every little thing he does, the way he walks, talk, sleep.. I missed every little thing about him

Once I was done with her hair I sat her on the bed while I went to go get ready. I did my makeup since I had already showed I decided to straighten my hair instead of always having it curly. I pulled it back into a  ponytail and then did my makeup..I heard commotion and I already knew it was Yaté and Sky.. they've gotten to the point of arguing over little things.

"Royal, come get yo kids!" I heard Qua

"Nahh! I've dealt with them and their bickering for over three months it's time for you to deal wit it!!"

Pretty soon they stopped and I finished getting ready. By the time I was done it was a little after 12 and her party started at 1. I walked out the bathroom putting on my shoes

"You look good" Qua came up behind me smiling

"Thanks.. y'all ready?" I asked grabbing my purse

"Yes ma'am" I held Yaté' hand while I went downstairs and to the car. I strapped him in his booster seat while Qua strapped Sky in her car seat

I got in the passenger seat pulling out my phone checking endless text messages from everybody concerning Sky's party. I gave everybody any further information that I knew of unless they changed something I didn't know about.

Pretty soon we were there and just as I expected almost everybody was here. I got out getting Yaté out and Sky. I held Sky's hand while Qua held Yaté and we walked in. Immediately flashing lights went off and a bunch of friends and family greeted us.

"Hey sweetie!!" Mama E gave me a hug. I haven't talked to her really since me and Qua got back together

"Hey Mama.. Hey Heav" I gave her a hug

I went around greeting other people. I was shocked Set wasn't here yet but I didn't stress it... I didn't expect him to be everywhere all the time! After awhile he walked through the door with Cardi by his side! I hadn't seen or talked to her in a while and I felt like the worst friend ever

"Hey girrlll!!" She hugged me

"Hey honey!!" I smiled giving her a hug as well. "What took y'all so long?"

"We had to get my sister from the airport"

I knew Cardi always had a sister but I never really met her! Hopefully one day I would.

After talking to a few other people it was time for them to bring out Sky's birthday cake. The fact they went above and beyond adding real diamonds on the cake. All of this for a one year old. 

"Alright y'all it's time to sing happy birthday to the Young Rich Princess!!

And that's exactly what we did! We all sung happy birthday and me and Qua helped her blowout her candles. I cut the cake along with Qua's sister placing each slice neatly on a plate... I noticed Qua going outside and the guys following behind him. I wiped my hands off and decided to follow them out and I quickly regret it

"Royal take your super detective ass back inside!" Set snapped at me

"Nahh I wanna see what hoe Toya doing at my child birthday party" I folded my arms

"I'm here to drop off Qua's son" She gave him Quincy

"You couldn't call me yesterday or before you came? You know what I shouldn't take him but only god knows what you'll do wit him then"

"I'm not a bad mother" She rolled her eyes

"Get the fuck outta my face" He walked off heading back inside

I sighed and followed just trying to enjoy the rest of my baby's birthday.

After everything was over I helped clean up while the kids played. I looked over at Qua while he sat off by himself. I stopped what I was doing and walked over to him sitting across from him

"Penny for your thoughts" I smiled a little

"I don't understand how I could have gotten her pregnant.. I used a condom every time! She gotta be lying" He stressed

"Take a at home DNA test... she'll never know about it" Set mentioned walking up

"I mean you'll never know for sure until then" I shrugged

He just nodded and leaned back. I kissed his head and finished cleaning up.. soon we were done and headed home with the kids to get them bathed and in bed.

Quavious POV

I laid in bed watching Netflix while my mind ran a thousand miles an hour! I thought everything would be better with Royal back by my side but obviously that created more drama and even more stress.

"The kids are finally sleeping" Royal came in stretching out on the bed

"Good... what we gon do about this situation? She ain gone leave us alone" I sighed

"Well I know we took a DNA test before, but she really could have had those results fixed... I mean if he isn't yours at least you won't have to deal with her, but if he is then you need to see if y'all can co-parent"

"Ion wanna do dat! If he mine den I want full custody! She don't care nun bout him and he deserves a home wit people dats gon love him"

"Hmmm.." She chuckled. "Mr. Marshall is a changed man"

"I told you I was... I'm staring a new life and trying to get back on the right path" I looked up at her

"I love you.." She smiled giving me a small kiss

"I love you too..."
