.The Sun's Horizon.

~Tuesday Prince~

We arrive back to Aslan's camp and I swing down from my place on Oreius's back, helping Edmund down as well. He is weak, looking as though the Witch hadn't fed him which doesn't surprise me. I do not want to meet the woman in person. Aslan meets us by the edge of the camp, a smile on his face. Edmund shies away, looking nervous and feeling guilty, but I wrap an arm around him in comfort. He relaxes slightly and I can tell he's grateful I'm there.

"Edmund, Son of Adam," Aslan starts. "Welcome to the camp. I am Aslan, king of Narnia. I know you have met Tuesday, Queen of Narnia and I can see you find comfort in her presence. She did catch the wolf that lead my soldiers to you, so you should thank her, however, for now, I must speak to you alone."

Edmund looks to me in confirmation and I nod, showing him that it was okay. He nods as well and leaves my side, walking away with Aslan who talks to him kindly, leading him further away from the camp. Once they are gone, Oreius joins my side again, a small smile on his face.

"You are good with a sword, My Queen," he says quietly.

I look up at him a grin. "You really think so?"

He nods. "However, if you want to be prepared for what is to come, you still have so much to learn."

"Are you going to teach me?"

"That is the job Aslan has given me, My Queen. Clean your sword and we will begin." He starts to walk away, leaving me there, stunned.

"Right now?" I call after him.

He doesn't look back but just says, "We don't have time to wait, My Queen."

So that is what leads me to the river to clean my sword. I feel a presence at my side, and I meet the eyes of Peter who has knelt by me, watching as I rub a cloth up and down the sword's crystalline structure.

"How's Edmund?" I ask him.

He shrugs, not saying anything. Still, I can feel the happiness radiate off of him and it is quite contagious.

I can't help but smile. "I was worried I wouldn't come back, you know. We didn't run into any serious trouble, but I was still frightened. I left so quickly I was afraid I would never be able to say goodbye."

"Everything was going too fast for me to be worried," he says honestly. "You're a good fighter and you have a lot of courage. I knew you could handle yourself."

"Oreius is going to teach me how to fight. Perhaps when I am done, I can teach you and Edmund." Peter smiles and reaches out his hand, wanting to take my sword. I hesitantly hand it to him. Last time I let it from my grasp, I might as well have been dead. He examines the hilt and the diamond that protrudes from the end.

"I think yours is better than mine."

I laugh slightly. "Well, in your defense, mine doesn't have a lion on the end symbolizing the king of Narnia." I sigh happily and take my sword again from his outstretched hand, sheathing it. "I think you're going to be a great king, Peter."

"And you are going to be a wonderful queen. I think I'll have fun ruling by your side."

I gaze into the boy's eyes, their icy color holds me captive and I realize I really am falling for him. I believe every word I say. He will be a magnificent king.

"Yes, it will be fun, my friend." And that's all we will be, friends. "Yes, it will be."
