5. Not Until I See Their Faces

"Where are the girls?" My mother yelled as she barged into my house.

Here goes nothing!

"Oh, hi mom. You're here!" I said, going over to her to give her a hug.

"I'm not here to see yo ass young lady, where are the girls?" Ouch

"They are in their room, you should refer to them as your grandchildren mother" I told her

"Not until I see their faces" she told me, and because she knows everywhere in this house, she knew where the girls where, she didn't even wait for me.

When I finally got to her in the room, the way she was smiling told me I was safe.

I said nothing, I did nothing! I was quiet but my mom told me "shhhh, my grand kids are sleeping"

I smiled at her and went to the kitchen to make breakfast for her.
