Chapter 11 A Chance Encounter but a Guided Search

Tema awoke in his room, today is the day of the tournament he thought

"Today is the day of the tournament" he thought. A flood of thoughts entered his head, everyone commented on how strange he acted but didn't say why, Who he reminded Sakura of and who Ariana was and how he could meet her. 

"Isn't a dream supposed to be fake?" he thought "but..." taking out the piece of paper "how did I get this? I'll just have to ask her when i find her". He left the room to see Sakura sat down at the table and Sophia making some breakfast at the kitchen.

"morning you two, here eat it up it's going to be a big day" this morning  was porridge with strawberry's. 

Sophia sat down opposite "listen I wish you both the best of luck today"

"Thanks" Tema replied 

"What's wrong?"

"sorry its nothing"

"Don't worry mother we'll be fine" Said Sakura "it's just sleepyhead here is still a little tired" Tema nodded. Sophia took the empty bowls and washed in up in the sink when a knock came at the door "coming" Sophia opened the door to see no one was there; however, on the floor was an envelope with TEAM 16 Captain Written on the front "this is for you Tema" Tema took the envelope and was about to open it when another knock came from the door "coming"

"Hi Sophia" greeted Lucile

"oh hi Lucile and hello Nikistatia"

They both came into the room and Lucile appeared to have an envelope in her hand. 

"here you go Tema. This is the letter which states how we start the tournament"

"but we already received a letter" Tema showed what he had and everyone looked confused Lucile look at the envelope and gave it back "well this letter we received from an official so I don't know about yours. Let's open the official one first". Tema opened up the envelope and inside was a green coloured piece of cloth and a letter

Dear Team 16

The contents of this envelope show where you will start today and the rules for the first stage. Inside the envelope is a coloured fabric which is to be tied to a flagpole once you reach the end. You are allowed to interrupt other Teams as only 8 teams can finish. You will start from this spot at the 5th Horn from this spot. Good luck

Tema took the fabric and tied it around his arm covering the stone. The letter had a small map which showed them a very large forest where they would start. Tema turned over the second envelope however there was a strange mark on it. Above the mark was a message which said "it will only open if you are 1st to read it".Tema tried to open it but strange magic numbers which seemed to be counting down appeared "14,21 then 14,20" Nikistatia seemed to recognise the mark

"it's a Time seal it will only open one the number hits Zero. Anyway come on let's go" . Sophia saw them leaving out the door 

"I'll see you there"

"how?" asked Sakura

"The residents will be shown the way they while everyone else is trying to find it."

"all right we'll see you there".  Sophia couldn't help but feel worried as they left the house

They left the house and left via the East lane with everyone waving to Fiona as they passed. Several groups of warriors were leaving the through the gate as Tema just followed them through and the groups seemed to follow the road down toward the Academy but then they turned right through the field. Sakura seemed to lag behind and Lucile went back a bit to see what's was wrong.
