As another weeks starts we once again watch Mr. Shue write Christopher Cross on the board as I finish typing a text to Jesse asking how college has been. We haven't been able to text lot but when we do, it's meaningful.

"All right, who can tell me who Christopher cross is?" Mr. Shue asks.

"He discovered America." Brittany says. I bite back a smile.

"Close. He did write an iconic chart topper- 'sailing'." Mr. Shue corrects.

"I have a bad feeling about this lesson." Kurt says leaning over to me.

"Never heard of him, don't want to hear about him." Tina mutters.

"Now some people think of the term 'easy listening' as a bad thing. But I'm going to let this music speak for itself. You guys live lady Gaga and The Rolling Stones- And you guys are really good about putting it all out there. But really good music can also be controlled, and restrained. It doesn't have to attack an audience, it can let them come to you." Mr. Shue finishes looking at Quinn. I smirk realizing the meaning behind it and the fact that it was directed at Quinn.

"How could you get caught between the moon and New York City? They're like a hundred miles apart." Finn asks.

"Mr. Shue? If I may. I think I speak for all of us when I say that it's no that we don't love the idea of spending a week on this silky smooth adult contemporary, it's just that, as teens, this isn't the easiest music for us to relate to. However, there is a burgeoning Facebook campaign that has swelled to over five members. The ardent demand: that this week, at the fall homecoming assembly, the McKinley high school glee club performs a number by... Wait for it... me, Britney Spears." Kurt finishes his build up. We all murmur in agreement.

"Yo,Spears is fierce, yo." Artie saying looking back up at me causing me to laugh.

"Sorry, Kurt, Kurt. sorry. No, no, no. I don't think she's a very good role model." Mr. Shue shoots down almost instantly.

"But, Mr. Shue. We kind of grew up with her." Rachel argues.

"She's literally why I wanted to become a performer." Tina adds.

"I don't want to go Britney." Brittany says quietly.

"Why no Britney, Brittnay?" Kurt asks confused.

"Because my name is also Brittany Spears ." Everyone looks at her.

"What?!" Mr. Shue stutters.

"What the hell is she talking about?" Mercedes asks.

"My middle name is Susan, my last name Pierce. That makes me Brittany S. Pierce. Brittany Spears . I've lived my entire life in Britney Spears shadow. I will never be as talented or as famous. I hope you all respect that I want Glee club to remain a place where I, Brittnay S. Pierce, can escape the torment of Britney Spears." Brittany explains."

"Well, there you have it guys. It's been decided- no Britney. Sorry." Mr. Shue apologizes making me glare as I see the relived smile behind it.

"Thanks Britt. Thanks a lot." Kurt says.

"Leave Brittany alone." Santana defends her.

"Thank you for understanding. It's been a hard road." Brittany mutters. We all look around kind of freaked out before Rachel's voice rings out like a loud and annoying mole rat.

"Um, can we move on?" She asks.

"Yes. Let's talk about Michael Bolton." Mr. Shue introduces the topic.

When we get back into glee club I walk in and sit down to gaze upon a beautiful man. I look wide eyed at Kurt who looks just as shocked as me. Mr. Shue tells us he's a dentist going to give us a talk.
