Pippa's POV

I had no idea what was going on in my life now. My show was over and I was at home with Scarlett all the time. Don't get me wrong, I loved hanging out with her. I just wished Steve would help sometimes... I knew he had his show, but it was getting tough...

"Mommy you promised!" Scarlett whined.

"Yes I know I promised, but I really need to do this before I play with you." I frowned at her. I was trying to set up multiple things at once and look at preschools for her, but she was starting to be a little bit of a pain.

"Mommy!" She cried.

"Scarlett Elizabeth! I am trying to get a few things done right now." I snapped. The second I raised my voice, she jumped and her eyes widened. I hardly yelled... "I need to get a lot of work done today so I need you to be a good girl and let mommy do her work.." I sighed. Her eyes began to water as she ran to her room. I felt terrible for raising my voice but what was I going to do? Let her say 'mommy' six hundred times in one minute?

I texted Steve, hoping he would give me some ideas.

I may have a little problem... I raised my voice with Scar and now she won't leave the room.

Steve: eh it happens.

Pip: Steven!

Steve: okay! Okay! She's home all the time now. She's bored. Why not sign her up for dance or something to get her out and about? She'll love it.

I hadn't thought of that. That's what my parents did when I was her age... That and I was rambunctious and full of energy... Like Scarlett. It would be perfect for her.

I stopped looking at preschools and began to look at different programs that offered what she would like.

Things would look up for her eventually.

A few days had gone by, I had signed her up and paid for one lesson. Just to see if she would like it.

It was one on one for now. If she liked it, she would be able to merge with a class and make more friends.

"Why do I have to wear this?" Scarlett frowned while pulling on her leotard.

"Because it's a uniform." I smiled at her. "I had to wear them too honey. Don't worry." She still gave me a frown while tugging at the tight fabric. "I still have to sometimes. When I have to learn dances." I whispered to her.

The instructor eventually came by, apologizing for being late. She looked young, maybe a little older than I was.

"You must be Scarlett." She smiled at her. Scarlett shied away, hiding behind my leg. "She's so precious." The woman smiled at me.

"Thank you." I laughed. The three of us walked into the small dance room and I sat on one of the chairs near the back. Scarlett stuck by me, watching the woman.

"Okay, Scarlett, Miss Soo, my name is Brenda." She introduced. "I'll be working one on one with Scarlett until she feels comfortable to be in a group. We usually don't accept entries this late, but since she's young we can work with her.

"What do you mean late?" I asked.

"We usually start registration in January, seeing as it's May..." She started.

"Oh. I thought you meant age wise." I chuckled.

"Oh no she's the perfect age to start." She smiled. "Can you come up here with me?" She asked Scarlett. She shook her head quickly and held my hand tightly.

"Please Scarlett? She isn't going to bite." I whispered.

"Come with me." She frowned.

"I can't sweetie. You have to do this by yourself." I frowned. It killed me with how nervous she was.

"How about this..." Brenda walked closer to us. "Miss Soo, did you dance when you were younger?" She asked me.

"I still do." I laughed.

"How about we do something to get her to want to join us?" She proposed. I nodded slowly, hoping I could keep up with someone who dances everyday of her life. "Okay! So, Scarlett, you can watch your mommy and I do a little dance and then you can join too okay?" Brenda said to her with a big smile.

"Okay!" Scarlett giggled.

I took off my shoes and sweater, leaving them in the chair so Scarlett could watch. I hadn't danced like this in a while but I tried to keep up.

"Simple stuff." Brenda shrugged. "If you watch her in the mirror you might see her do it too." She smiled.

"I hope so." I laughed.

We did a few basic stretches and went into basic dance steps. At first I watched Brenda in the mirror, doing my best not to trip over my own two feet. Then I looked up to see Scarlett attempting to mimic us in the back. I couldn't help but smile. After about ten minutes of that, she eventually took my place.

An hour came and went quickly, Scarlett giggling while dancing to the Hokey Pokey. I took a few pictures of her and sent them to Steve. He loved them of course.

"She's a fast learner. She'll be able to catch up in no time and be able to do the recital at the end of the year if she's comfortable with that." Brenda smiled at me.

"Really?" I asked in awe.

"Yup. She seems like she was born for this too. Are you sure this is her first class?" She laughed.

"Her father and I are both performers." I laughed slightly.

"Oh." She looked down at Scarlett then back at me. "Oh! You! I knew your name was familiar!" She gasped. I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh my goodness. I'm embarrassed." She chuckled.

"Don't be! Please! I hate when I'm noticed out in public. I'm just a mom whose kid wants to take dance lessons." I quickly said. "Nothing else." I smiled.

"Right. Got it." She laughed.
