This chapter isn't long, but I think it gives a lot of important information regarding Luke's past, the title of the story, and Rose.

So read cautiously and pay attention to every detail.

Chapter Thirteen: Like Mother, like Daughter

"You look constipated," Iris stated as she tapped her hand against the window.

I gripped the steering wheel with full force. "I'm angry," I stated as I could almost feel the fumes coming out of my ears.

Iris raised her eyebrow, not believing me. "Seriously, it's only been a couple of days."

I snapped my head towards Iris when she said that. "I don't care if it's been a century! He hurt my brother intentionally. Then he dated my sister!" I shrieked as my arms flew everywhere.

It's been three days since the incident, and I can honestly say that I hate everyone and everything right now. I have stopped talking to Luke, Blaine, and Willow. Maybe I'm being a baby, but I don't care; family comes first.

"That's the thing. You are looking at this from a black and white perspective," she explained cautiously, as she slowly lowered the the radio. I just snorted when those words came out of her mouth. I could see everything perfectly, and what I was seeing with my own two eyes was betrayal.

"Look at me, Rose."I huffed in protest and put my arms over my chest like a spoiled little brat as we stopped at a red light. Iris pulled my face to make me look directly at her as she began the scolding.

"Look, you can't be mad at Willow. She is right, she did wait for Josh, but he didn't do anything," she said, and I started arguing like the Hulk on steroids.

"But she knew he liked her!" I spluttered as I pressed my feet on the gas pedal. Iris shook her head.

"She knew that he did, but she probably thought he wasn't going to do anything about it. You can't blame the girl. She isn't like you. You waited for Elliot, but that didn't mean she had to wait for Josh."

But I didn't understand why she couldn't wait for Josh. They were perfect for each other in a weird messed up way. They fit each other. They understood each other. Plus this wasn't some high school fling. They had known each other since they were little, which means they knew each other well enough to care for each other deeply.

"And look at it this way, Blaine and Willow aren't even dating. They are just going to one dance. Plus Blaine asked Willow because of Luke's dare. Blaine isn't even sure if even likes Willow and vice versa. This could go somewhere, or it could be a dead end. Maybe Josh can get a reality check and stop going out with multiple girls, or he can accept that Willow is not 'the one' and move on. I think Luke did this because he thought this would reveal whether these people even liked each other."

I slowly turned at the green light. I honestly wish I could scream on top of my lungs. Did Luke think he was Cupid? He can't control people's lives. Well I was being a hypocrite, but I just wanted my brother to be happy.

Iris took a deep breath. "Look, Luke is a weird character, and he's overprotective when it comes to this stuff. If you think Josh is bad, you are lucky Luke isn't your brother." I hesitantly turned towards her after I parked my uncle's car.
