Chapter One

"Wake up, dumb shit."

I opened my eyes and I looked at Mark.

"Jesus, Mark!!! What's the matter?" I said while I forced myself to get up.

"First day, duh?" He said as he motions to his Omega wrist watch.

DAMN!

"It's 9 o'clock and your classes, starts in 30 minutes." Mark said this time he went out of my room.

Mark and have been technically living together for nearly two years.

He wasn't my boyfriend, fiancé, no. He's my best friend and we were taking up the same course so we decided that we rent one apartment with two rooms.

I was attracted to Mark before. He was a good looking man. He's always there for me and I returned the favor. He's smart and funny but he wasn't the kind of man I'd fall in love with.

I was always looking for someone who's a lot older than me. My friends thinks that I'm a gold digger at some point because the guys I went out with were rich.

I wasn't a gold digger. No. My type of men was just strange to a lot of people.

Older men tend to be more straight forward, romantic, knows what they want and they're stable.

I don't want to have a relationship with someone who nags me all the time when I don't text back.

I always yearn for someone more mature.

After having a quick shower, I went out of my room and searched for Mark in the kitchen.

My phone buzzed.

Sarah,
I went ahead. Lol. See u in school. Btw, I left u the money I borrowed for gas yesterday. It's on top of the fridge. See u later. X

I reached my hand on top of the fridge and took ahold of $30 dollars.

I pushed it inside of my pants' back pocket.

I searched for my bag and car keys and head to school.
