Lost inside my twisted mind
Lost where you’re unable to find
Those connections to the heart are severed
Friendship of the finest crystal
Shattered, forever broken
Once had faith in all people
Allowing them to share my dreams
But there warmth has grown cold
Through secrets told
Doors have been closed
Feeling raw
I fall from grace
Reaching out
I fall at an amazing pace
Walking alone among abandoned streets
A friends promise they could not keep
Unable to resurrect the past
The faith I once had
Forgotten
Knowing close-minded friendships do not last
Laugh hysterically behind acid tears
Watching them contradict their own words
These self-righteous spew their lies
There is more than what you see before you eyes
For it always takes two to tango
Each story has more than one side
You don’t always know the reasons why
Still it was me that fell from grace
Even though I felt lost
For just a moment in time
I refuse to hide

Through the Looking Glass
PoetryA series of poems; where I let out my emotions as they teeter between what I've been told to believe and how I truly feel.
