If They Only Knew
Going on each and every day
Completing all tasks to near perfection
Crying alone to hide the disgrace
Working through fears of rejection
Is anyone aware of the grief being carried
If they really knew, they’d stare in disbelief
Trying to be perfect, showing no flaws
Watching their eyes full of envy
Hazel eyes filled with tears
Unable to hold back the heartache inside
Wearing a mask of pride, to disguise the pain
Unable to release the pressure inside
