when i met you
you planted yourself in me
grew in me like a disease
taking over my soulwhat was a virus
i perceived as a flower
i allowed you to take over
with what i thought was petalsyou seeped into my veins
but you smelled like rose oil
and lavender and sunflowers
so i lay back and allowed itwhen i met you
you planted yourself in me
but i have set myself on fire
burning my souli will be reborn like a phoenix
but you will never touch me
again
