Nora’s POV
My eyes shot open then closed and I groaned in pain
“Fuck” A familiar voice spoke loudly
“Impossible” another voice
“Nora” Another voice spoke except this one was one I knew very well, one that always made my insides act funny...Chrysanthos “Open your eyes for me baby” he huskily whispered while gently touching my arm. I was trying to, I honestly was but my throat felt like someone had sprinkled sand on it.
“Water” I croaked and someone put the glass to my lips, I felt like I had been dehydrated for days. I opened my eyes slowly and flinched whenever I felt like I couldn’t do it.
“Easy” Chrysanthos spoke again. My eyes fully opened and I was greeted with a bright room, peach in colour. Chrysanthos groaned and started planting kisses all over my face. Tears filled my eyes quickly and I had to blink them away quickly. He kissed the corner of my mouth until I put my hands in his hair and directed his lips to my own. The kiss was full of longing and passion “I swear Nora, you’re slowly driving me insane” he spoke through heated kisses
“I missed you so much” my tears were free falling and I’m sure I looked like hell.
His groaning turned into a growl and my nipples pressed against the soft hospital gown. A throat clearing loudly stopped our movements and when I looked up the room was filled with different people; the doctor, nurse, Zotikos, Lysander, Jessica and Meg. My hand moved to the sheet and I pulled it up....Oh God
“Could you let us see her before you take her” Lysander smirked and glared at Meg when she smacked him, her cheeks were bright pink. Awkward.
Lysander made his way toward me and hugged me tightly, I don’t think he meant to hurt me but Chrysanthos must have seen the pain filled expression on my face because a lethal growl left his lips that made all of us stop our movements completely.
“Hey” I touched his hand “I’m okay” Everyone else came in for hugs and Chrysanthos sat on the chair like a grumpy little five year old.
“It’s good to see you awake Nora, you scared us all” The doctor looked at me sadly
“I can imagine” I bit my lip and looked at Chrysanthos. I knew that as soon as I was better we would be able to discuss everything but for now everything was better left unsaid.
“We are all happy to have you back Nora” Zotikos smiled and Jessica sniffled but nodded her head
“This one was about to land himself in some trouble by going to the dramca” Lysander patted Chrysanthos is shoulder but not before my hand smacked his
“Are you out of your mind” I shouted but settled down when he blankly stared at me. Stupid Alpha males... “So he didn’t go?”
“No because when I was about to your body started to show signs of life” Thank God...
“So what happens now?” I couldn’t help but ask
“You and Chrysanthos are going somewhere far while we try and find a way to attack them by surprise, they are quite powerful” Lysander looked conflicted as he gave me this new information
“I will be able to protect you and come up with a plan” Chrysanthos answered and moved toward my bed “Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked holding my face in his hands
“I’m fine...really” I tried to smile but he could see right through me “So where are we going?”
“My cave”
“I’m sorry what?”
“My cave” he repeated
“Why” I scrunched up my face
“Their caves don’t actually look like caves” Jessica added and Meg giggled. When I looked at Chrysanthos he looked like he wasn’t present but his eyes were still on me, watching every movement I made. It turned me on but the look in his eyes told me that there was something he wasn’t telling me.
