Chrysanthos POV
I watched as Nora’s face change and she pushed me away slightly. I watched as the small cub started to transform and stood protectively just in case this became something else
“Lysander, surround” I ordered him
He was about to protest when I suddenly felt heat on my arm, I turned to Nora and her happy face was now a scowl. She was pissed
“Chrysanthos” she spoke through gritted teeth “Move” her eyes briefly flashed the beautiful purple I adored and I smiled at her feistiness “Why are you smiling?”
“I love you” I whispered and she rolled her eyes at me. So sexy. My lips marked every visible part of her neck when she suddenly pushed my face away and mumbled
“I kind of love you too” the excitement in her eyes was visible and my lion growled in appreciation at the happiness of his mate.
“Kiss me” she tried squirming to get out of my grip but I held on tighter
“Chrysanthos” she whined and kissed me. It was quick and soft. Eventually letting go she ran to where Lysander and Megan were now standing.
“Oh God” she whispered her voice breaking “Chrysanthos, come and see this” The sound of a happy baby giggle caught my attention and I watched as she bent down and picked her up. Her back was facing me and I couldn’t see the small thing.
“She is beautiful” Meg sniffled and reached to touch it
“Damn” Lysander’s voice broke slightly and Nora sniffled. I wanted to move but my body was frozen in the same spot. I never really cared for much and so far it was only Nora who made my heart beat widely all the time.
My breath caught when she turned and I got a good look at the smiling baby girl in her arms; her hair was apricot coloured, two very large grey eyes stared up at me curiously, small pink lips in a frown, rose-coloured chubby cheeks and her skin was so pale yet beautiful. I frowned at the little thing and then it giggled, portraying two very deep dimples. Her chubby arms reached up and her chubby little body squirmed in Nora’s arms.
“Baby” Nora called me worriedly and I reached out for it. The little girl giggled again and pulled my hair making my teeth grit and Lysander laugh
Nora giggled and covered it with a cough when I glared at her. She felt so small in my arms. I growled and it dropped the piece of hair and stared at me startled which made me think she was about to cry and then she giggled tugging some more. Dear God.
“What should we call her?” Nora questioned
“Mike” Lysander suggested and Meg scrunched up her nose in distaste. I worry about my brother sometimes
“Ew not for a girl” Nora agreed
“Lilly” Meg suggested but quickly kept silent
“It doesn’t really fit her” Nora shook her head. I was too fascinated to par take in the conversation and stared at her. The little thing was squeezing her way in.
“My little Bambi” I whispered kissed her chubby cheeks nosily making her giggle again.
