CHAPTER 31 - DAY 3 (Part 3)
Ian's POV
"Someone told me. When you don't want a girl to be with other man and you become sad or angry when she's with that man. Then you're in love with her." She stopped. Napaisip ako sa sinabi niya.
"Are you in love with me?" She asked me.
Hindi ko alam kung pano ako rerespundi sa tanong niya.
Kung magsasabi ako ng totoo. Baka mas lalong hindi niya ako layuan at hindi ko na kayaning iwasan pa siya. Mahihirapan na akong isalba ang puso ko.
Pero kung magsisinungaling ako. We can be just friends now and be more than that when the right time comes.
But, why don't I take the risk now?
Why would I wait if it can be now?
Why not try?
'Because it would hurt. And you had too much of being hurt. You experienced more than what you can handle. A monstrous pain you don't want to feel again.' A part of me said but a part of me answered.
'To love is a risk. It's like playing cards. Kelangan mong tumaya kahit na alam mong posibleng matalo ka. Kelangan, kasi pano mo naman malalaman kung mananalo ka kung hindi ka naman susubok? Kung masaktan man, then be it. At least you've tried. Love will never be love if you won't be hurt anyway. Love is the most beautiful thing yet love is the most painful thing. You just have to weigh things. Anong mas mahalaga. Siya o ang hindi siguradong kahihinatnan ng inyong samahan na pwede rin namang humantong sa happy ending?'
After the thinking. I took a deep breath and replied.

"Yes. I love you."
Hinintay ko ang sagot niya. Mas mahalaga siya sakin. Kaya hindi na ako maghihintay pa. Kung masasaktan ako ay wala na akong magagawa. Ang gusto ko lang ay ang mahalin siya.
Hindi parin ito sumagot.
Hindi ako nakarinig ng ni isang salita. Hindi na rin siya gumagalaw. Tinignan ko siya. Tulog na pala siya.
I smiled. Isn't it great? The day came when you're ready to risk your heart again. But see what just happened. Mapaglaro nga talaga ang tadhana. Siguro nga ay hindi ngayon ang tamang oras para sa amin.
"You're really amazing." I said while looking at her. Nakaya pa niyang matulog sa ganitong sitwasyon. Samantalang ako ay gising na gising. I was about to kiss her forehead ng marinig kong tumunog ang phone ko. Maingat kong inabot ang cellphone ko sa side table ng kama ko.
"Hello?"
"Hi Ian. Missed me?"
It was a familiar voice. Pero hindi ko matandaan kung sino.
"Ohh. It looks like you don't. Well let me refresh your memory. Don't you remember the kisses we shared? Don't you remember the hot nights we spent together? Don't you remember the girl you left for a bitch?" I heard a sob at the other line. "I loved you Ian!!!. I gave my everything to. You had my virginity. At dahil naikama mo ako iniwan mo na ako? Napakasama mo!"
No way. Hindi ko talaga siya matandaan. Hindi lang naman kasi iisang tao ang naikama ko ng virgin at iniwan ko pagkatapos.
"You'll pay for what you did to me. If I'm not going to be with you, then no one would be. You'll never be happy. I'm never gonna make you happy. I'm gonna kill the girl you love. All the girls you will love." Mapait na sabi niya.
"No. You can't do that."
"Huh!" I heard a bitter laugh. "My new boyfriend is a drug lord. And his willing to do everything just-for-me. Even if I asked him to kill someone."
"Do that and I'll kill you myself." Sabi ko sa mahinang boses dahil baka magising si Kiara. Feeling ko puputok na ang mga ugat ko sa galit. Kulang nalang ay maitapon ko ang cellphone ko ng masip ko ang nakangiting mukha ni Kiara.
"Ow. And clearly you have someone you love. Ha ha ha ha!!! My boyfriend's gonna find her and kill her. Don't worry. I'm gonna make sure you'll be there. Seing her being killed softly. Bye Ian."

Nakatulala ako habang pinapakinggan ang tonog ng cellphone ko.
"Sh*t!!!" I murmured
No.
These can't be happening.
