that very night when i dropped her off on her hotel room at three in the morning, i swear by the billions of galaxies out there, i saw through her eyes. i saw how she wanted to stay, and how she wanted me to save her.
but i left instead.
and maybe that's one of the biggest regrets i will carry for the rest of my life.
