three days later, i got a call at midnight, and i heard her voice. asking me to watch her perform at her last ballet performance in korea before she leaves. i told her i will, of course i will.
"you're not actually going to say goodbye, aren't you?" i couldn't stop myself from thinking out loud. i didn't want to hear goodbyes from people i want to say hello to everyday.
there was a deafening moment of silence before i hear her breathe, and then she hung up. i ought to call her back, i told myself no.
