Chapter 25 - Reality

Jai's POV

I WAS RUNNING. Someone with a knife were running after me. Takbo lang ako nang takbo habang hawak ang tiyan ko. My tears are falling but I don't care, I must go out in here! I must be far away from the woman behind me!

Napahiyaw ako sa hapding unti-unting bumalot sa binti ko. I gasped as I saw a knife and blood coming from it. Lumingon ako sa likuran ko at mas napaiyak. Amixel is really close to me. She was glaring at me like she's killing me. She looks very scary.

Nagbalak akong tumakbo kahit na halos hindi na ako makalakad. Her knife has a poison. Unti-unting namamanhid ang parteng natusok nito.

I cried and accepted my defeat when I felt her hand that yanked my hair. Nagpumiglas ako pero nauwi lang 'yon sa malakas na palahaw dahil sa biglaan niyang pagbunot ng kutsilyo sa binti ko.

I weep and begged. It was dark but I can clearly see her lethal eyes. Napatili ako nang hugutin niya pa lalo ang buhok ko kasabay nang pagtarak niya ng kutsilyo sa tiyan ko. No! My baby's life! No!

NAPABANGON AKO at agad na naglibot ng tingin. It was our room. Habol ko ang hininga ko kasabay ng pamumuo ng pawis sa noo ko. I inhaled some air and closed my eyes, silently thanking God it was only a dream.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Drake asked with hoarse voice.

I sighed and just lay beside him. I lean my head into his chest while he was slowly stroking my hair. Pumikit ako pero napapadilat lang din muli. I could feel my heart bringing back its normal beat, but I'm still worried about my nightmares with Amixel.

"I was dreaming about Amixel," I confessed.

"And?"

"Can we not talk about it? I don't want to think about it anymore," I said with a low voice.

"I understand," Drake briefly said. He's still sleepy, he's not talking too much.

"Can I request something?" I continued.

"Hmm?" tanong niya na ikinatingala ko. I run my forefinger at the tip of his pointed nose but his eyes kept close. I let out a deep breath, he's really tired of work.

"Are you tired?"

"That doesn't matter, you can tell me whatever you want."

"Whatever you want," I joked while smiling, earning a short laugh from him.

"C'mon, sweetheart. What is it?"

I cut the nervousness that was starting to eat me. I need to see her. My nightmares with her won't just stop so I'll come to meet her. Maybe, that might help.

"Can we visit Amixel, tomorrow morning?"

I earned no response from Drake, making me more nervous. I breathe in relief as I felt him sighed seconds later. I hope he's not thinking of what Amixel can do to harm me and our child.

"Okay," sabi niya na muli kong ikinatingala sa kanya. His eyes were now open and looking at me. I smiled at him and gave him a quick kiss on his right cheek to tell him I'm thankful.

"And for now, let's go back to sleep."

Tumango ako at ipinikit uli ang mga mata ko. Naramdaman kong bumigat na din ang paghinga niya na ikinahikab ko. His beating heart near my ear is like a beautiful music playing. I smiled widely, my favorite music to listen is his heartbeats now.

I WAS SILENT the whole ride with Drake. I was really nervous but my eagerness to meet Amixel won't be an enough reason for me to back out doing this.
