Sarah and I decided to celebrate at one of her favorite restos, Imo's. Pagdating namin sa resto, we ordered and talk non stop. Ang daldal pala ni Sungit, tapos bungisngis pa. Nakakahawa yung tawa nya, pati si Cobbe, tawa ng tawa. And lalo syang gumaganda. Then suddenly,
'Sarah?' A man from somewhere came up to us and asked.
'Sam? Sam ikaw ba yan?' And she jumped and hugged this Sam.
'Ikaw nga! Grabe. Its been a long time.' He said.
'Oo nga! Kamusta ka na?' She said.
'Ehem ehem.' I coughed. Papansin lang.
'Ay oo nga pala, Gerald this is Sam, good friend of mine. And Sam this is Gerald..' I opened my mouth, 'Gerald Anderson. and Baby Cobbe.' She added.
Gerald Anderson huh. Kanina lang asawa ngayon Gerald Anderson. Sino ba kasi tong asungot na to.
'May baby ka na?' Sam asked on disappointment.
'Mahabang story. Nandito ka na ulit! Nako, kailangan natin magkwentuhan! You should join us. ' She said and looked at me. I looked back, hindi ako nakurap.
Nahalata siguro ni Sam. 'May mga kasama din ako, maybe next time? Kunin ko na lang number mo para labas tayo minsan.' He stopped and looked at me. 'Kung pwede?'
'Ok lang pare.' I answered. Hindi pwede.
'Hehe. Ano ka ba Sam, we're just friends.' She giggled.
'Oh.' And he smiled. 'Kala ko may boyfriend ka na ulit. Sige, i'll go ahead. Talk to you soon!' And they hugged again. Sarah gave her number. 'Bye. Bye Gerald and Cobbe!'
I just nod and he left.
Umupo na sya with smile on her face na hindi maalis. 'Someone special?' I asked.
She lifted her head. 'Yes. Pero.. we're happy na friends lang kami.'
'Friends.' I whispered.
'Yes. Friends.' She smiled at me. Like an assurance.
'Ahahaha! Buti naman friends lang..' Oh oh Gerald. 'I mean na you remain friends until now.'
'Oo nga eh. At least hindi nya dinibdib na ayoko ng magcommit. Tsaka hindi ko na-feel sa kanya na sya na talaga eh.' She said.
'Yung tipong,' She continued. Im still looking at her. 'Sya na talaga ung kakantahan ko ng.. And it's telling me it might be you all of my life..'
Wow. Nag-oopen na sya sakin and she sang! I know na maganda ang boses nya because we did karaoke nights as well. Pero iba pala pag dalawa lang kayo.
'Ano ba yan, napapakanta pa ko.. Sorry.' She giggled.
'No its okay. I mean sobrang okay. I really don't mind.' I said.
'Ikaw..' She said. 'Na-feel mo na ba yun? I mean..'
'Yes.' I said.
'Talaga? Anong nangyari?' She asked. She looks like she's very interested to know.
'Well, I dont know what to do. Kasi the feeling is very foreign. Non ko lang nafeel talaga yon kaya I panicked.' I bowed my head. 'I did things na hindi nya nagustuhan. But she eventually forgave me. Or I think na pinatawad nya ko.' And looked at her. At titig na titig din sya. 'But I dont know where to start. But I realized, to take things slow. Yung slowly but surely. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali. Im willing to wait for her.'
She smiled. Yung smile na may meaning, na may iniisip syang maganda.
'I wish na makahanap ako ng guy na willing to wait, until im ready.' She said.
'You will.' I smiled.
'Ano ba yan. Ang drama drama na natin. Tapusin na naten to para makauwi na tayo.' She looked at Cobbe. 'Mukhang pagod na din si Cobbe eh.'
It was one of those nights na hindi ko makakalimutan. She opened up. She shared something, and that was a huge step for me. Lalo kong naiisip.. Hindi ako nagkamali. Hindi ako nagkamali na It Might be her. (:
