I've been sitting outside of Zeek's office for the past hour debating if i should just pop in there and tell him off then leave. But something stops me from doing so. I haven't heard from him since last week and it was just through quick text messages. The only thing i can say that could've turn him off about me was when him and Jamal was questioning me. Maybe he picked up on my lying. Soon as i changed my mind to just show up at his condo i seen a familiar little woman getting out her car as well. I quickly got out and followed her in the building. I stayed close behind her since the only way to get in was to swipe a badge at the main doors. She pulled out her card and swiped
"Oh are you coming in too?" She asked with her accent
"Oh yes i am actually let me take my card out" i reached down and acted like i was getting my badge also but she stopped me
"No need hun come on."
"Thank you girl" i smiled
"I'm Lily. Your the sister in-law to Darvin i met you the other week remember me?"
"That's why you looked familiar I'm Ja'Dia hi how have you been?" I acted surprised to see her again
"I've been good. Could be better but good is the word" we walked into the elevator so happened she's going to Zeeks floor. YES!
"Aww sad to hear that. Here is my number let me change that in a few ways you won't forget" she said rubbing my ass and passing me her phone.
"Sure we can meet up whenever you'd like. Quick question are you meeting someone on this floor?"
"Yes actually. Progato got me doing his job today what about you?"
"I'm applying for jobs in the area. And i was coming by to pass around some resumès."
"Well if you give me your number i could probably hook you up on something" she mentioned making me realize i was still holding her phone i smirked
"Well in that case here" i put my number in her phone under Jay 😋.
"I hope your as appetizing as you look. See you later" she winked walking off the elevator. I waited until she went to the desk where the same girl from last time escorted her down the hall to his office. I sat down in a chair in the lobby strolling through my phone until the desk girl came back asking questions.
"Excuse me miss do you have an appointment?"
"No actually I'm here to see Zeek personally"
"Can i get a name?"
"Ja'Dia" once i said my name it's like she looked surprised but nodded to herself
"Ok. I will tell him your here" she gave a forced smile
"Thank you"
About 30 minutes went by and i grew tired but Lily was walking back up the hallway towards the elevator.
"Have a good day Miss Progato we hope to be hearing from you soon" the desk lady said smiling
"We'll see" Lily said holding a straight face making me chuckle
"But you Ja'Dia be looking out for my phone call Love" she winked as he elevator door closed
"Excuse me ma'am if you don't mind me asking how did you get into the building do you have a badge?"
She asked cutting me off
"Uh-"
"What's up Ja'Dia?"  Zeek came from behind me causing me to jump.
"I need to talk to you" i said placing my hand on my hip. He chuckled
"You know where the office at go ahead" i nodded and walked towards his office but waited because i heard them talking
"Who is she to you?"
"Since when you ask questions on who coming in and out of here?"
"That's my answer right there. That's the Ja'Dia i seen in your phone"
"You went through my phone?"
"Damn right. You been laying in my bed this past week so i been laying my eyes in your phone. It's okay though we ain't doing nothing go ahead and meet with you little hoe"
"Don't fuck with me today is not the day Nia."
"How did the meeting go she seemed nonchalant when she left out of here"
"He just sent her because he didn't wanna tell me himself he was picking up new clients. Her rude ass didn't wanna hear me out either barely spoke" he said
"Well she sure had the mouth to talk to your little hoe. Go in there and ask her what phone call she expecting later while she suck your dick"
It was taking everything in me not to walk back around the corner and drag her by her damn slick mouth but i didn't want them to know i was listening.
"Shut up Nia you sound jealous but i will. I'll be back later let me go talk to her"

"Her name is Ja'Dia don't get it wrong again" his voice became closer causing me to run down the hall fast.
Once i was in i tried to catch my breath fast before he came in.
"What's up Jay?" He came in and locked the door and gave me a hug once he tried to kiss me i turned my head.
"Oh it's like that now" he stepped back and looked at me
"That's how you made it seem. Mr I'm riding solo for the past week" i said he nodded
"I apologize work just been stressful and i didn't wanna out my anger on you so i be distance"
"Bullshit. You been around me before what happened to me helping you out?" I folded my hands over my chest. He sighed and unfolded my hands and led me to the couch and placed me on his lap.
"You right i never lied to you before so I'm not starting now. Recently i ran into a old friend we had some history in the past she moved on to one of my homies. Then Buck is back he's one of my old friends you Tasha old man Dre right?" I nodded
"You can't speak?"
"Yes i know Dre continue Zeek" i rolled my eyes
"Well imma stop speaking because you honestly don't wanna hear it so what's the use of losing my breath" he sat back looking at me.
"What you looking at?" I asked
"I'm waiting for you i know you got a ear full I'm listening."
"You right. I think it's fucked yo how you did me this past week. We go from being around each other a lot to you going solo for no reason. Is it someone else? Be honest." I waited for him to give me a response

"Look ain't none of that come here" he tried to grab me

"Nah they both broke that when they wanted to play house these past few years she just now coming back around here. But ain't nothing to worry about imma handle them later. Let's get us back on track. I'm sorry Ja'Dia i did do you wrong and I'm truly sorry i miss you though big mouth" he said causing me to smirk
"I missed you too. But i see you had company."
"Once i did never again." It was a knock at the door
"I'm going out for some food you want something Zeek?" The desk lady asked him
"No Nia imma go get something in a minute" he said
"Why when i can go get it while I'm out" she frowned while eyeing me up and down.
"Thanks but no thanks i got it. You need some money?" He asked her pulling out a hundred holding out for her to grab
"I don't need your damn money asshole"
"Oh so now I'm a asshole Nia. Alright." He shook his head
"Damn right" she said but instead of looking at him she was staring me down hard which made her words sound like they were towards me
"Problem Nia?" I asked
"Yes actually Since your back people start acting funny"
"Man ain't nobody act-"
"Don't beat the bush say it" i said cutting him off
"Y'all this is uncalled for"
"It is i don't argue with the sexual assistants. I'll holla at you later Zeekiah" she said trying to walk out
"What's up with the government being thrown around today huh" he said
"Who tf is the assistant? You the desk hoe that opens doors and legs before after and during hours" i snapped
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me Ms. Nia don't act all proper now"
"Zeek get your girl I'm not the one better yet she tell you why our business partners contacting her personally"
"And neither am i mind yo business" i added
"Nia leave NOW! Ja'Dia lets go" he stood up putting on his jacket calmly which signaled he was becoming angry
"Where you think you going" she asked
"Going to get some food move." He snatched me up dragging me to the elevator the whole time she was talking shit following us until the doors shut
"Y'all woman i swear" he sighed
"Nah your women fucking-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP" he shouted causing me to jump
"I don't wanna hear the bullshit no more y'all don't even know each but beefing over nothing. But of y'all insecure and jealous for nothing damn" the elevator opened he walked out i followed him to his car and got in.
"Where you wanna go eat at?"
"It doesn't matter" i whispered looking out the window. The car ride was silent besides the few phone calls he received not long after we pulled up to a seafood restaurant. I went to reach for the car door
"You better not" i stopped and waited until he came around and opened my door
"Thank you"
"Mhmm come on" we walked in and waited to be taken to our booth
"So what Nia talking about Lily calling you later" i froze i didn't look up from my phone until the waiter came and took our orders.
"You gonna ignore me the whole time orrrr"
"She wanna met up she has a liking for me"
"What kind of liking?"
"Flirtation or sexual"
"Both of them or"
"No just her for what i can see now" he nodded
"So no snaky business?"
"Only person at this table snaky is you" i looked up at him and rolled my eyes he ran his hands down his facial hair and shook his head looking at me
"You something else you that. How you been"
"Bored. Looking for others jobs and helping Sarah with her nigga problems" i said
"When you want that money for that trip y'all taking" he asked
"I honestly forgot about that trip we haven't spoke on it much might be what she needs to get her mind of that asshole plus Angie been out a lot so i don't see her much." I sipped my drink we ate our food and caught up. He kept apologizing for the way he's been acting lately. I'll brush it off for now i guess.
