Song Choice: Dear Diary (part 2) by Mikel WJ
Sitting up in bed, I suddenly had the urge to write something. I tried to ignore it but it wouldn't go away. It was like a bad itch at the back of my mind that wouldn't leave me alone. Sighing heavily, I pulled out my notebook from underneath my mattress and began to write:
Dear dairy,
This will be one of the -last entries I will make for a while, I think. I've decided that- its time things change and time I can be happy. So, I'm going to start new.
Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for helping me and thank you for listening.
"Macy, its lunch time." The nurse poked her head into my room.
I smiled as I closed my book. There was a time when I would've dreaded the thought of even hearing about lunch, let alone eating it but it was a different era for me now.
"Good! What are we having?"
