dear mom,

when angie and i,

were finally at the lake.

i asked her what happened,

after they left to find,

ripe snow.

she told me,

that marcus and her,

went out to search for the ripe snow.

and she told me how marcus,

told her that he found great snow,

near the lake.

so they separated.

and when angie was finished speaking,

her eyes went wide,

as her lip started to tremble.

she was shaking,

shivering almost.

angie was scared and worried about marcus.

i took off my jacket,

and wrapped it around her.

i tore off a piece of my shirt,

and tightened it around angie's leg.

i gave her a simple smile.

"angie,

stay right here.

if something comes to hurt you,

i want you to scream,

and i'll come right back up,

to save you.

alright?"

she nodded her head.

i turned around,

and just a few inches away from me,

was the lake.

and just near the middle,

i found something sticking out,

holding tightly onto something.

i stared more,

when i realized,

that something was actually marcus body.

i started to gently walk,

on the freezing lake.

as long as i didn't make any,

sudden movements.

i would be fine.

as i was just a few feet from marcus,

i saw his body start to move.

right when i was about to yell out,

to not move so fast.

i heard the sudden sound of cracking,

that's when I turned around,

and saw the cracks going closer.

i quickly tried to grab marcus,

and then with just a click,

i was too late.
