Dear Mom,

performance

dear mom,

today is the day,

i audition for the song.

as i walked on stage,

with the mic,

while my eyes,

were staring off,

into the distance.

i found cedric,

sitting in the middle row,

with his thumbs up.

i felt like,

everything bad from the past years,

disappeared mommy.

mrs.florence told me to go ahead,

and so i did.

mommy,

i tried my hardest,

as i was walking,

and then starting to get in the mood,

of the song.

i danced along,

imagining gene kelly,

next to me, 

also singing along.

i felt so happy.

all i could remember,

was how people were cheering for me,

as my dress started to spin,

by my side.

mommy,

everything bad that happened,

just left right at this moment.

everything was perfect.
