dear mom,

when i ran after aaron,

i found him outside,

next to a tree,

with his hands in his pockets.

"aaron?"

i remember how he didn't respond.

so i leaned against the same tree,

and stayed silent.

after a few minutes,

i heard his voice.

"you dating cedric?"

"yeah. why?"

"no reason." he told me.

we stayed quiet,

as the frogs were croaking,

and then after a few minutes.

i asked him,

what has been bothering me for the past weeks.

"how come you ditch me a lot?"

i remember his face expression,

that day.

it was filled with guilt.

and that's what took the silence to happen again,

and then the hugging fest to happen.
