Gwen drives Peter to the airport, 'to make sure you really leave this time!' He's going back to New York for a while, but they'll talk every day. 'I swear we spend all our time either fighting, kissing or in an airport,' he teases. 'That must mean we have a very exciting relationship.'
And a lot happens to Gwen in the next few months. She smiles a lot and starts to make other people smile too. She does so well in her classes that she gets asked to lecture every Thursday night. She makes friends. In all honesty, things happen to her that mean just as much, if not more, as her relationship with Peter. But this is a love story, and love stories will be love stories.
Peter moves back in with Aunt May. He's Spiderman all the time, and when he's not he does all the old stuff he used to do. Like skateboarding and photography, and in the morning he calls Gwen. His six A.M. and her lunch hour. And being Spiderman takes up more of his time and thought than Gwen does. But this is a love story, and love stories will be love stories.
