'Come on, Gwen! Please!' Peter teases me.

'No! Parker, there's no way I'm going on your skateboard.'

'Why not?' He puts on a fake upset face, like a sick puppy or something.

'I got kicked out of our graduation gym display cos I couldn't do a proper forward roll, there's no way I can balance on a skateboard!' I laugh.

'I'll buy you ice cream!' God, he's really cute.

'You'll buy me ice cream anyway, but fine,' I give in. 'Don't laugh at me.'

'I won't laugh, I promise'. Peter winks at me; he can't wink so basically he blinks at me. I climb onto his skateboard, keeping my left foot steadily on the ground. 'Okay, what do I do?' We're both laughing the whole time, I don't quite know what's funny but there's something about his laugh that sets me off too. 'Just like, use your other foot to sorta run and when you're moving you take it off of the ground and onto the skateboard'. I try that, and end up falling off backwards into Peter. 'You're a pathetic teacher!' I giggle. 'Yeah, well you're a pathetic skateboarder!' He gently punches the back of my head.

'Okay, you owe me ice cream'. I haven't seen him in a couple of days, hanging out with my family since I'll be leaving soon, and I've missed just being stupid around him. 'Uh, Gwen,' he fake reasons with me. 'You gotta get some practise! Come on, I'll teach you'. So I spend the morning falling off a skateboard in some disused garage with Peter Parker. Soon enough we give up on me- my balance not being 'developed' enough- and I watch Peter. He really is amazing; I guess it's got a lot to do with being Spiderman, he practically flies up the walls. It's awesome.

We get mint choc chip ice cream for lunch. The best kind, with real chunks of chocolate inside.
