Karma

I was walking back to my room after going down stairs to get a glass of water when I overheard my parents whispering as I passed there room to get to my own. It was only a couple days before my eighteenth birthday and the curiosity got the better of me. I slowly walked over to their bedroom door trying to make the least amount of noise as possible as I leaned up against the wall next to their door and pressed my ear on the wall in the hope of over hearing them talk about my party and what they had gotten me for my birthday.

Only they weren't talking about my birthday let alone my party or present.

"She needs to know." I hear my dad telling mom.

"She adores you! Why would you want to break her heart by telling her the truth?" Mom asks him with a break in her voice.

"She deserves to know that I'm not her biological father." he replies.

"This is gonna kill her when we tell her that she's not your daughter....she loves you so much." my mother tells him starting to fully cry now.

"She’s still my daughter Ginger. I love her just as much as I love the boys and Aura, maybe even more...she's my first born wither she's my biological daughter or not, she's my princess and I couldn't and wouldn't love her anymore then I already do if she was mine biologically." Dad tells her sadly.

I knew then that they were talking about me without a doubt.

If my dad's not my father then who is? I think to myself before continuing to listen to my parent’s conversation.

"She has a right to know who her biological father is." Dad tells her again not backing down though I knew it was taking everything in him not to completely break down.

Out of all my siblings I was the closest to my father. I always thought it had something to do with me being his first born but, now I'm thinking it has to do with him trying to make us connect more because I wasn't really his.

"When we bonded you agreed to raise her as your own and that we wouldn't let her know that you weren't really her father. He doesn't want anyone knowing about his bastard child Griffin. He wants to keep her a secret that only the three of us know about. He ordered us not to tell anyone about her true father no matter what and that includes her." Mom says.

"I don't care what he said. She has a right to know and if she wants to get to know him that's her right." my father argues.

"But we can't go against him; he'll kill us or kick us out of the pack. His bound and other children have no clue about Karma and that's the way he wants to keep it."
