I made my way to Vennberg's office just after my Anatomy I class ended. My stomach was tied in knots because one: I had loads of homework for tomorrow and I haven't even started. And two: I didn't know what my professor wanted to talk to me about. My brain denied every positive outcome of this conversation.

Just as I was about to knock on his office's door, I noticed it was already slightly open and that Vennberg wasn't alone.

"I'm not doing this, Frederick." Vennberg said, I stepped a bit closer just so I could see who Frederick was. To my surprise it was no other than Dr. Hershel. The university's principal and former owner. Both of them looked agitated, obviously discussing something serious.

"Yes, you are, Ethan. You will do this, or else I'll have to fire you. I can't keep on favoring you."

Ethan?

Ethan Vennberg.

It really suited him. Just the thought of calling him by his first name made my stomach twirl.

What did he have to do? And why didn't he want to do it?

"Are you fucking kidding me? I'm not going to step one single foot into that plane. And you sure as hell are no one to tell me otherwise." With this, he stood up from his desk and started walking, obviously frustrated, with his thumb rubbing his temple.
