Chapter 9
Sadly I couldn't play with Robin long enough. I had my english tution at Mrs. Roy's place which was quiet a ride from my grandma's house. Uncle Richard had arranged his driver to drive me there.
I had a quick shower and change before leaving. As I sat down in my mother's car I couldn't help but think what had actually happened to make my mother take this decision. She tolerated him for five long years. What must have happened now?
The almost familiar ding of my phone snapped me out of my thoughts. I swiped open my phone to come face to face with Sia's message. My face fell. I was expecting Zac.
Shrugging I began typing a message to Zac.
Rayne Quinn
There?
Just Now
I was halfway through typing a reply to Sia when I heard that familiar ding. I immediately swapped to Zac's conversation. Completely forgetting about replying Sia.
Zac Ronan Levine
Always (:
Just Now
I couldn't help but blush slightly at his reply. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Steadying my unsteady heartbeat.
Rayne Quinn
What are you doing now?
Just Now
Zac Ronan Levine
I'm talking to you, only you.
Just Now
I felt my heart going unsteady again. Chewing on my bottom lip I concentrated on replying him.
Rayne Quinn
Well I'm one hell of a lucky girl then.
Just Now
I sure was, 'one hell of a lucky girl', grabbing his sole attention among all the other fancy ladies around him. As I had said earlier, he was a ladies man and he had confessed that he had sixteen girlfriends before. I nearly fainted upon hearing it, since I had dated not even one fourth of what he did.
But that wasn't where the story of sixteen girlfriends ended. Zac's last girlfriend was pretty close to him and when she left him because he was cheating her. He changed. He pretty much stopped flirting and tried becoming a good boy 'cause he didn't wanted his future girlfriend to call him a Casanova. That's why he was single past one and a half year. He was waiting for the right girl.
As his friend I was proud of him for thinking that way. Friend, yes, that was what I was to him and I wanted it to be that way. My crush on him was something surreal. It had a huge gap from reality. Kind of like a celeb crush, where you know you're never gonna get together.
My phone's screen lighted up. I reached it immediately and unlocked it to check Zac's message.
Zac Ronan Levine
I think I'm the lucky guy here. A girl as amazing as you is giving me the time of her day. I can't ask for more, but that doesn't mean I don't want more.
Just Now
Rayne Quinn
I'm sure a lot of other girls give you the time of their day. They would say yes in a heartbeat if you ask them out.
PS : I reached tution, text you later.
Just Now
I saw 'Zac is typing' at head of the conversation but I couldn't wait to read it message. I was already at the tution and Mrs. Roy had started with the notes. I took a seat beside Sia immediately and began writing.
