I awoke on my own for once but it had meant I had missed Percy leaving for the quest.
I dragged myself out of bed and got dressed.
The cabin was quiet without Percy it made me sad.
When I opened the door I was greeted by Leo.
"Oh my gods! Leo don't scare me like that" I screamed.
"Sorry Percy told me to wake you up in the morning in case you didn't get up on your own" Leo said.
The mention of Percy's name reminded me of his possible fate.
"How nice of him" I say quietly.
Leo looked at me and asked "Hey well you wanna get breakfast?".
I nodded and we headed toward the dining pavilion.
When we arrived I forced a smile as we were greeted by Jason, Piper , Hazel and Frank.
Leo cleared his throat catching my attention.
"Since you're monster defense teacher is away I was wondering if you wanted any survival lessons" Leo asked nervously.
I could tell everyone was just trying to be nice.
"Yeah I think I could use some" I answered trying to put on a face that said I'm totally fine.
Frank and Jason bought it but the others weren't easily persuaded.
"Ok then meet me at bunker 9 for class during you're monster defense training time" Leo said.
I widened my smile.
"I can't wait!" I said and some part of me actually felt that way.
