I woke up to see the nun-dolls fussing over me, I felt fine, but sitting up I realized why they were fussing so much. There was a long but rather shallow slash down my stomach that I hadn't noticed before, it wasn't too deep but it still hurt a lot now that the adrenaline had left my body. My arm seemed fully healed and just a bit sore, my other injuries were the same too. Looking around I saw the nun-dolls over Ezekiel trying to remove the knives I threw, but everytime they touched one Ezekiel would grunt or shout in pain. I smirked at how I had hurt him back just as well. I hoped he wouldn't bug me about fighting now, in fact I think I think I could make fun of him for a change. The nun-dolls were looking through a huge shelf of potions trying to find the right mix, suddenly the doors burst opened themselves and the dean burst in, a cloud of black rage. First he came over to me and looked me over, seeing the gash on my stomach unhealed, he looked to the nun-dolls who all cringed under his black gaze full of murderous intent. They made their flute-like whimpers that sounded something like their language, and the dean watched them plead, un-moving. Then he sighed while gripping the bridge of his nose, and stormed over to see Ezekiel, who stopped cringing at the touch of the nun-dolls and stared coldly and un-moving right back at him. They both looked ready to tear the other to shreds, and I couldn't help but stare nervously along with the nun-dolls who cringed at my sides.

I mustered some courage to get up and walk over to them. I came over and stood cradling my now bandaged gash while I gripped the bed-frame, both of them not acknowledging my effort. Suddenly though, when I had to rest from the pain and I collapsed a little to sit on the bed by Ezekiel's feet, the dean looked towards me worriedly, and Ezekiel mirrored him which seemed odd. "Hey Luc'," I said to the dean, using the name he'd told me to use for him, "Thanks for stopping by, but we're going to be fine I'm sure." I tried to reassure him, since it looked like he would kill Ezekiel for fighting me at all, seeing Ezekiel glare at me now, I continued, "It was a great fight," I tried, but when Ezekiel glared harder, "I think we would have tied anyways" I glared back.

"You realize you both fought the entire three hour class? The protective magic even ran out, just look at your injuries now.." the dean said worriedly to me, before glaring at Ezekiel, "you should know when to stop and reserve yourself." He finished with a hard tone which in itself threatened Ezekiel's life. "Anyways," he said looking back to me, "your injuries are too much for the nurses, so we're bringing in some Undine wizards to finish the healing." He sighed, then glided over to the door which opened and closed behind him again on their own.

Ezekiel glared as he walked out, then at me, "you know his name and you didn't know he was a devil?" he spat, obviously not trusting me to tell the truth now that he'd seen the sway the dean gave me.

"yeah.. he said his name was 'l-u-c' (luke)" I said simply,

Ezekiel looked at me like I was dumb, "What?" I said,

"That's short for Lucifer?" he sighed, but in seeing my look of shock softened up and said "Maybe you are just that niave.."

"Whatever.." I hid my embarrassment,

"Yeah no biggy.." he muttered, I realized suddenly that he was being nice and stared at him like he'd lost his mind, "What?" he said, looking himself over quickly,

"Nothing.." I muttered,

"Your.. nicer.. on your own you know?" I said precociously waiting for him to snap back to the jerk he usually was,

"Nahh.." he smiled, actually smiling one of the most handsome smiles I'd ever seen.

"Oh.." I muttered, turning my face to hide my instant blush.

The doors creaked open again, and my stomach butterflies fluttered to see Vince again, followed closely by another Undine wizard. This one had blonde hair, and was almost as pale as me, he had piercing light blue eyes and was as shocked as Vince had been to first see me. He was wearing a red tshirt with a tan button up shirt pulled over it like a jacket, he also had on some worn and faded jeans, with a finish of old nikes. He whispered into Vince's ear urgently, gesturing to us, making me feel self conscious. I looked away and back to Ezekiel, who was back to being a scowling jerk, I sighed wondering if that nice Ezekiel was ever real.

"Hey Ava!" Vince called to get my attention, swatting away the second undine

"Hey Vince!" I smiled back,

Vince hurried over with the undine on his heels, he was staring at my face until I moved my arm and he noticed the blood that had started coming from my gash again. Vince helped me up with a gleeful-to-be-seeing-me-again and a scared-to-see-blood look in his eyes as he took me back to my own cot, "Here Ava, lie down and I'll fix it right up." He winked,

The blondie was standing over Ezekiel, not sure what to do with the glaring lump of scowls, "Hey Vince," I said absentmindedly, "Who's your friend?"

"Oh, that's Finn," he said, also absentminded as he started to chant and bring out the healing water in his pouch.

"Hey Finn!" I called, startling Vince and Finn, "Don't mind that grumpy featherball! Just get me my knives back!" I called with a smirk, impressing both guys who joined me in my silent chant of 'you got owned by a girl..'.

Ezekiel glared daggers at me, which nearly made me laugh, up until he confused me with a tiny almost missable smile before he relaxed and lay down. "Hurry up Undine" he said grumpily to Finn.

Once the boys were done, Vince kissed my hand formally, "Until next time my Angel.." he muttered with a happy-go-lucky kind of reckless grin.

I blushed lightly then shook it away with a shy smile, "Vince.." I muttered, "Oh hey I almost forgot!" I yelled after them as they went out the door of the medical wing, both boys turn arund hastily and practically run back inside,

"Yeah?" they said tripping over one another,

"You guys going to town this weekend?" I said hopefully,

Both guys looked at each other, "We are now.." Finn said rubbing the back of his neck shyly, "You wanna meet the other guys too..?"

"Yes I'd love to!" I said bounding up to give them a friendly hug. Ever since I came here, it seemed like I was weirdly excited to meet anyone new.

We waved them goodbye, then Ezekiel came up behind me, "Nice fight," he said flatly, ending with an awkward nudge while he handed me my knives.

"You weren't so bad." I said just as awkwardly, having trouble meeting his eyes,

"Not.. not so bad?!" he said back to his cocky self, "I wasn't tryng, I coulda kicked your ass from here to all the way 'cross the country!" he yelled,

I punched him in the arm and ran into the hallway laughing, my laughter made Vince and Finn down the hall turn around, only to see me tease out and fold my wings in close to jump out the window, Ezekiel in hot pursuit. I out-manuevered him mid flight, and arrived at the forest to see the flight lesson still on.

"I see your both finally stitched up, " Eagle raised his brow,

"yeah--ah!" I screamed as Ezekiel flew up behind me and shoved me towards Eagle,

Ezekiel was laughing, then went back to scowling as the other guys floated down beside us, "Ava!" Cas shouted, landing with a run.

"Cas!" I yelled back, as he nearly bound into me, barely a foot away as he came in to hug me. By now the two of us were like twins, finishing each others sentences, and always together.

"Alright.. Alright! both of you go take your armor off," Eagle sighed, "And you bunch!" he started to yell at the others, "When did I say you could stop!" he squaked.

I hugged Castiel a second longer, then ran off the cliff and floated back down to my perch, then suited down ready for an easy flying lesson. I had to put back on my normal clothes, but apparently Angels didn't sweat much so dirty clothing wasn't as much of a problem as I would have expected. Suddenly as I was about to step back out of my perch, Ezekiel flew right infront of me, sending me backwards with a start. He chuckled as he continued up, so I stuck my tongue out at him like a kid.
