PAIGE VENTURA- Gloomy, scary, mysterious, ugly? That’s how they call her.

She is a mystery-horror writer and eldest of three siblings of the Ventura clan. A prominent family known because of their contribution to Philippine arts. Her mother is famous painter. Her father is a world-renowned musician. Her sister Kelly is an aspiring actress at the age of 24 and her youngest sister Nicole is a singer at 20. She is slightly introverted and loved to be alone. A person who doesn’t believe in love. She is hiding a painful past that leads her to what kind of person she is right now. Will Hunter’s presence to her life can change her views.

HUNTER CLAY SY- A bright person with a sunny disposition in life. A successful business owner at the age of 30. He is single but always not available. He happens to be the cousin of Kelly’s boyfriend Connor. He is someone who believed in his self more than God. He is treated like a royalty by woman, except Paige who doesn’t even want to see him in the first place.

At first he doesn’t really like Paige because of her scary personality. He even teased her because of how she looks and her cold treatment. He loves seeing her in pain with his words. But is he really the right guy whom Paige can lean on? Can he erase Paige’s sad past and be able to re-create her back again?

CHAPTER 1

“I HATE YOU!”

Kulang nalang ay mabasag ng paulit-ulit ang puso ni Paige sa narinig mula sa bibig ng kanyang matalik na kaibigan. “I hate you Paige. Akala ko kaibigan kita.” Nakatingin sa kanila karamihan ng mga classmates and schoolmates nila sa high school department.

“Hansel, ano ba ang pinagsasabi mo?” Itinigil niya ang pagsusulat at hinarap ang umiiyak na kaibigan.

“I really hate you.” Sa tingin niya ay totoong galit nga ito sa kanya. Pero bakit? Wala naman siyang ginawa na ikakagalit nito. “I should have known it dapat hindi na ako nakipagkaibigan sa iyo.”

“Ano ba kasi ang nangyari? Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nangyari sa iyo. Tell me.”

“You!” Dinuro siya nito. “Dahil sa maganda ka at matalino kaya lahat ng lalaki ang kaya mong pa-ibigin. Dapat ay hindi ka na dito nag-aral. Hindi ka naman bagay dito.”

Nasaktan siya sa paraan ng pagsasalita nito. Pero hindi naman niya magawang sumagot dito.

 “Nang dahil sa iyo kaya hindi ako mahal ni Philip.” Patuloy ito sa pag-iyak. “Sana hindi na ako nagtapat sa kanya. Sana hindi na ako nakinig sa iyo ng sabihin mong may gusto din siya sa akin. Dahil sa simula pa lang ay ikaw na ang gusto niya.” Pinunasan nito ang luha sa mga mata nito at saka nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita.

“O baka naman alam mo na talaga sa simula palang at gusto mo langtalaga akong mapahiya.” At ngayon pinagbibintangan na siya nito. “Ang sama-sama mo talaga. Kinamumuhian kita.”
