"You don't know that" Kayla says.
"Let me rephrase that, I don't want it to work"
"What? Why not?"she asks in astonishment.
"Well I'm not the type of person that would do this"
"Live a little"Kayla says.
I sigh, it's no use trying to reason with her.
She's really stubborn but I don't know if I want to do this or not.
"Are you sure about this?" I ask.
"Definitely, I've done this lots of times before"she says proudly.
"Seriously?" I ask.
"Yeah, i found out my friend was spreading rumors about me so I decided to skip school and just stay at home and eat ice cream all day" she says.
"This isn't even that serious, I mean I can face him it'll just be awkward" I say.
"Well it's 8:30 so first block is starting" she says.
"Maybe we can hurry and just get a late note?"
"No, we are going to watch Netflix and order pizza"she says.
Ugh I can't believe I agreed to this. I've never skipped school before, but then again who would notice?
Definitely not my parents, since Bella disowned me she doesn't care.
Edward might care, but I left. So it's not like he knows what I'm doing.
"Hey, Earth to Carlie" Kayla says while waving her hand over my face.
"Oh sorry, what'd you say?" I ask.
"I said, what do you want to watch on Netflix?"
"I dunno, you choose" I say.
"STRANGER THINGS IT IS" She yells triumphantly.
I laugh, she's crazy.
*knock* *knock*
I freeze "who's knocking?" I whisper to Kayla. Kayla's face is pale like she just saw a ghost.
"My parents are at work" she whispers.
Oh no.
What if this ends up being like one of those horror movies?
Two friends decide to foolishly skip school and end up getting murdered by some criminal.
"Then who could it be?"I whisper.
"I volunteer as tribute, to go and check" she whispers, while doing the 3 finger thing from the hunger games.
"Be serious Kayla" I say.
"I am, I'll just go check and try not to be seen".
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"No can you do it?" She begs.
"Yeah, I'll do it"
I mean if it is some criminal, I have my vampire senses to rely on.
I cautiously tiptoe to the window, and I see someone I never thought I would see again.
