Chapter 3 - Confession Depression

I sit in silence with Pearl.
I see one single tear forming in her eyes.
I bring her into a hug.
"Pearl.. I-I Love you..." I whisper.
As soon as I said that, she pulled me out of the hug and smiled at me.
"I love you too, Marina.." She said.
We get closer and closer then..
SPLAT TIM BURSTS INTO THE ROOM.
"IM GONNA SNIPE U NOOBS XDDD" He yells.
I then snipe him instead and he dies.
I go back to staring at Pearl.
Our lips are now 3 centimeters away from each other.
But I back out.
"I'm sorry I can't do this. I just c-can't.." I stuttered and ran out of our apartment.
I run as fast as I can to Octo Valley.
She won't find me here.
I just couldn't do that.
I sit down, pull my knees to my chest, and cry.
I want to be with her. I really do. But something is stopping me.
I don't know what though.
Before I can finish any thoughts, I hear footsteps coming towards me.
I lift up my head to see agent 4 standing in front of me.
He smiles.
"Marina. What are you doing here?" He asks me.
"I just came for a visit.." I lie.
"Oh. Well you know the city is in danger right now right?" He asks.
"WHAT?!" I exclaim.
"Yeah. The great zap fish is missing AGAIN and Callie is missing!" He yells.
"WHAT?!? THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!" I scream. I'm even more upset now.
"Well it is. I can't believe it myself either" He replies.
Then in the corner of my eye I see a figure dressed in green walking towards us.
She stands next to agent 4.
It's Marie.
My eyes widen as I set my eyes on her.
I see tears run down her face.
"What if we can't make it this time..? Will it all end here..?" She asks herself. I can tell she's really depressed because of this situation.
Agent 4 gives Marie a friendly hug.
"No, Nothing will help now.. It's all useless.." she mutters.
I sit in silence.
"My cousin is also gone. Who knows if I'll ever see her again.. She was so close to me.." She starts crying hard.
Agent 4 and I both hug her.
"We'll find her. Trust me." I say to her.
When I said that, she started sobbing harder and harder to the point where she couldn't even breathe.
I seriously didn't know what to do now.
I know Callie was really important to her, she was to me too.
I sigh.
"I'm sorry but I have to go. Bye." I say as I run away.
I didn't know what to do at all. I would probably end up making Marie more upset.
I didn't even know where I was running to.
Everything around me is unfamiliar.
I stop running when I feel my phone vibrate. I pull it out of my pocket to see that I received a text from Pearl.
It read, "Marina where are you?! I'm worried sick!"
I want to reply, but I can't. I put my phone back into my pocket.
I start to run again until my phone vibrates again.
"I know you read my message.."
I groan and start to type.
"I'm out right now. I had to go somewhere." I send.
I put my phone back into my pocket and start running as far as I can until I reach my old home.
I look around at everything. It's just how I remember it.
I then enter my old house.
It's all broken and messed up. Wood pieces everywhere, carpet torn, furniture ripped.
I then go into my old bedroom and try to look for stuff I might've left.
I find a piece of paper.
I read it aloud to myself.
"To, Marina

I really hope you read this. You're my best friend and you mean a lot to me. I really hope we stay together for a long time. I just wanted to say that I love you. We've shared so many memories together and I never want to forget them. They are precious to me. I bet they are to you too. If you ever left me I would probably never get over it. I can't go a day without you. If  anything ever happened to me, I promise I'll be back. I would never leave you or my city.

I start crying. Callie and I were very close friends ever since moved to Inkopolis a year ago. Seeing her gone now really makes me sad.
But I know that she will come back.
