Chapter 29

Luke’s P.O.V

I pulled up outside of Claire’s house; I took in a deep breath getting out of the car and walking towards the door. I knocked on the door waiting for someone to answer finally Claire’s mum opened the door, she was always happy to see me

“Luke, hello”

“Hello, Mrs. Waters is Claire home”

“Of course she’s in her room, come on in” I walked in walking upstairs and I heard music blasting from her room she was listening to Blink 182 it was the CD I got her to listen to with all my favourite songs on it. The door was cracked open a little bit and I saw Claire dancing around the room with her hairbrush, it reminded me of Anna she would always do that when I had new music to show her I smiled and I put my hand on the door knob and I accidently opened the door. Claire turned around and cursed

“Shit” she turned the music down and said “You scared the crap out of me”

“Uh sorry”

“Do you do this all the time, just randomly come into girls houses and just watch them dance around there rooms”

“No, I um, sorry”

“Luke obviously you came here for a reason”

“Yeah I did I um” Claire sat on the bed padding the empty spot next to her, I took a seat looking at the ground and I said

“Claire, I was wondering if I uh if you would like to I um”

“Luke Hemmings I’m getting that feeling that I’m making you nervous”

“What, no what made you think that, HA, I should go?” I said getting up walking to the door, this was a silly idea I can’t ask her to be my girlfriend and say oh you should come to America with me for 2 weeks, I better off just being the only single kid in the family

“Luke, before you go” I turned around and Claire walked towards me and wrapped her arms around my neck giving me a kiss, I wrapped my arms around her waist. Once she pulled away she smiled and said

“Yes, I will go on a date with you”

Ashton’s P.O.V

We were all at the airport waiting for our flight to America to start boarding, Anna was reading her book and Mum was texting me she wasn’t too keen with me going to America for 2 weeks with Anna but Mum likes Liz so were all good. Luke and Claire were being all cuddly, them two were like a perfect match even though Luke can be an awkward turtle and Claire is this ray of sunshine but they were still a perfect match if that makes sense. Anna was too busy to be cute with me because she was reading some book called The Fault in Our Stars, everyone is talking about that damn book what makes it so amazing that you just have to read it. I’m not into books so I’ll just take Anna to see it. I kicked Anna’s foot to get her attention; she didn’t take her eyes off that damn book.

“What is it Ashton”? She put the book down and I pouted and said

“I want cuddles”

“Well you can wait, because I’m almost finished this chapter” I waited 5 minutes and I said

“You done yet”?

“Well I was and then it got good” I rolled my eyes, grabbing the book off her

“Ashton, give it back” she sat up and now she was the one doing the puppy face

“What’s the point of reading this anyway, I mean it’s obvious that this chick is going to die”
