Luke’s P.O.V
I was sitting near the window waiting for Ashton to return with Anna, it was pouring down rain I hope everything is fine. Dad was sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper and mum came into the lounge room and said
“How can you two just sit there and not freak out that our daughter is out there” I looked at dad and dad put the paper down on the table standing up and he said
“Honey, listen Anna will be fine I’m sure she just went out on a walk”
“I’m just worried about her normally it’s a 10 minute walk not a 5 hour walk if she doesn’t come home in 5 minutes I’m calling the police”
“Liz honey no need for that” mum and dad went into the kitchen and I heard the door slam, I got up quickly but it seemed mum bet me to it
“Anna honey is that you”
“Yeah it’s me mum” I heard her voice say I went around the corner and saw her with Ashton. Mum ran past me hugging Anna she pulled away and said
“Don’t you ever run off like that again please?”
“I’m sorry mum, thanks again Ashton” Anna ran upstairs and mum looked at Ashton and said
“Thank you so much for finding her Ashton”
“Oh you’re welcome; I better get going so I can get my car again”
“You guys walked in the rain” mum said surprised by that
“Well she hates being in a car”
“Luke, take Ashton back to his car”
“Alright come on Ashton” I said grabbing mums car keys, we ran in the rain opening our car doors quickly “Where are we going”?
“The garden just 10 minute near the school”
“Anna was there”
“Yeah she was”
“How did you find out”?
“She told me she goes there to think about things and need space”
“My sister so likes you”
“I know she told me but she’s just not ready to move on just yet”
“I think she is ready to move on she’s just not admitting it”
“Well we’ll see what happens” I pulled over to where I saw the garden and Ashton got out of the car and he said “Thanks for the lift”
“Thank you for finding my sister”
“No problem bro” Ashton shut the door and I drove back home.
When I got back home I ran up to Anna’s room opening the door seeing Anna on her laptop eating a packet of skittles
“Anna, can we talk”?
“Sure, take a seat little brother” I sat down in front of Anna, she shut her laptop and I said
“Anna, explain to me why you and Ashton aren’t together”
“Didn’t we talk about this the other day”?
“Yeah we did and I’m just saying what are you afraid isn’t moving on the best thing”
“No it’s not Luke, listen just come back when you have a perfect relationship and next thing it just gets wasted because the person you loved the most is gone”
“I’m just saying Anna is Peter wouldn’t want you sitting around shutting people out of your life he would want you moving on having a life, being out with friends living your life to the fullest” Anna just ignored me so I just stood up walking to the door and told her
“You have to move on at some point Anna before it’s too late”
Ashton’s P.O.V
I was throwing a soccer ball up in the air and catching it while my phone was on shuffle thinking to myself how long will it take for Anna to move on but what if once she moves on from Peter and ready for me I’ll be already moved no that can’t happen I’m falling for her every second and every minute I spend with her I just wish she could say that she likes me without putting the but at the end. The song then changed to We the Kings – Say you like me and I said to myself
“What a perfect song for me and Anna’s relationship” then I got an idea it may be crazy but it’s worth a shot.
