Valkyrie yawned, rubbed her eyes and stared at Skulduggery as he sat on her bed.
She yelped. "What're you doing here?" she cried.
He tilted his head at an amused angle. "I was outside, tapping at the window. Then it opened and I came in. I've been here ever since."
"How long?" Valkyrie asked.
He glanced at the clock above her bed. "Around 3 hours,"
She shrieked and pushed him off the bed. "3 HOURS?" she screamed.
"Yes. You snore, by the way."
She glowered. "Now get out. I'm getting dressed."
"Ah," he said, and walked out into the corridor. Valkyrie opened her closet and took out her black clothes. She yanked them on and then put on her black boots which were in the corner of the room. She walked out into the corridor and saw Skulduggery flying around the house.
She put her hands on her hips. "What the hell are you doing?"
He looked at her sheepishly. "There was a fly that was annoying me. It's dead."
Valkyrie laughed. Then she heard the door open.
"Stephanie," came her mother's surprised voice. "Why is there a skeleton on the floor?"
