"Well, you had good grades so far." I scan through her test paper. Well, I wouldn't expect anything less from the person who can almost beat the great me. She looks so happy. Why is that, I wonder?

"So, where do you want to go?" I asked as I returned her paper to her.

"Eh?" She blankly stares at me. She is genuinely confused. Oh no, don't tell me you don't remember. I thought you were the one who wanted it.

"I thought you wanted me to go on a date with you?" I raised a brow as I sighed. Sometimes, this girl is really clueless and insensitive. "I told you I'm going to hang out with you once you get good grades for the upcoming exams. I knew you were able to do that since I'm the one who's tutoring you. I even cancelled all afternoon activities and duties because I was expecting it. Are you really going to ignore all the efforts I did?"

She glares at me like I'm a bad guy. I just said the truth, what's wrong with that?

Then she turned away, wearing a troubled face. "Uhh well... I don't even know where to start..." She is honest. Although I knew that already. It was written all over her face since the time I asked where she wants to go.

Even so, I was surprised. I stared right at her brown eyes. With disbelief, I asked her, "Were you really the one who asked me out?"

She quickly turned away and burst into laughter. I don't know what her problem is. That just makes her all the more mysterious and confusing.

"I'm sorry! I really am!" She bowed and apologized over and over again. This is irritating. She is irritating (with a hint of confusing).

"Shut up." I stopped her immediately before she bowed one last time. "Don't worry, if you have no plans, I'll do it myself because I wouldn't want my free time to go to waste."

"I really am--"

"I said 'shut up.'" I interrupted. "Just tell me what kind of things you want, and I'll list the most recommended shops." I took out my notepad and pen that is always placed near me. My bag, pocket or my shirt.

"C-coffee..."

"Coffee... Starbucks, right?" I immediately listed Starbucks in my notepad. After all, it's the most famous coffee shop. Just Starbucks is fine, right? Since this is not being in a real date or at least we're not actually dating, Starbucks is fine.

"Just simple snacks would be okay. Like donuts and ice cream."

"Ok, so you have a sweet tooth. Since our date is in the afternoon, I'll take you to famous and most recommended sweets shops." I packed my notepad and pen somewhere near me. I often forget where, but it somehow always magically appears in my hands as if I was being unconscious.

I then nodded at her while wearing a very weak smile. "I'll see you."

She nodded too. Her smile filled the room as she dashed off my sight.

I checked my wristwatch. It's still too early. I wonder what I can do while waiting.

Fantasizing her in her formal clothes... I wonder if she's going out in casual ones instead?

Urgh. I found myself thinking about her. I wonder if I can shake her off my mind... This is not like me at all...

"Were you waiting for long?" She asked, running towards me. I didn't take a glance. If I did, I wonder if I could've answered properly....

"2 mins late." I replied, checking my watch.

There was silence. She became silent. I wonder what she's thinking. With her around, I'm forgetting everything that I shouldn't forget. Does she have an automatic amnesia gas that makes me forget even the most important things?

"Let's go to a tea shop." She suddenly suggested, grabbing my arm forcefully.

I was surprised so I unintentionally turn my arm around to release her grip. "I thought you wanted coffee."

"I'm craving tea, now let's go!" She insisted, tugging my arm again.

"You're just so unreasonable, aren't you?" I sighed, giving in. Well at least it's not a surprise anymore.

...

When we reached a tea shop, she ordered two cups of the same tea-- Chamomile tea. Wait...

"Chamomile? Isn't that the tea that lets you sleep? If you're tired, just tell me, you know. It's better than hanging out with me while you're tired." I commented, reading through the menu.

"I'm not tired. Even if I am, I would never try to ditch you. You cancelled all your plans today, right? It would be a waste if you work much harder than usual when you return the schedule." She calmly said with her calm face and her calm tone. It was so relaxing that seeing her face and listening to her voice is already enough to let me relax. No need for the Chamomile tea.

"Then, why did you order Chamomile tea?"

"It's for relaxation. You need to relax." She immediately replied.

"But I'm completely relaxed when I'm with you. Haven't you noticed?" I plainly stated the fact. I hope she gets the point.

"Ah. Is that so?" She froze in a blank state.

"What's wrong? You're completely frozen still." I leaned towards her to check on her. Maybe she is feeling tired, but is masking it as if I'm the one who she should be worrying about.

She slapped my hand away before it got any closer. I stare at her in shock. We both stopped there.

"Sorry. I guess I really need Chamomile tea." She excused herself as if being guilty for slapping my hand away.

Ah, it was not her fault. Maybe I made her uncomfortable because of how close I got? Right. After all, I am a guy. At least she's aware of it...

I knew it. Staying with her much longer is a bad idea. I wonder how I can get ourselves to distance from each other... in a way where it will be better for the both of us...

...

We waited for our order. When it arrived, I calmly drank mine. I noticed that Anju isn't drinking hers. And she was the one who said she needs it. What a troublesome girl.

"I see you aren't enjoying your order." I smirked because I have the upper hand.

"To be honest..." She started, staring at my eyes solemnly. "I don't drink tea." She bluntly said and shrugged.

"I'm not going to drink your cup." I immediately stated with a blank face and a monotonous voice.

"I wasn't going to ask you to. I'll just drink it like water. I was originally going to order for yours only and not mine, but it will be rude... So, don't worry about a thing and just feel the tea's effects on you, okay?" She tilts head to the side and smiled brightly.

I was speechless. Her unusual speech has already caught me off-guard, but that smile just stabbed me right into my heart.

...what an idiot.
