Dax had surprisingly made it back to town in two hours instead of three because he was speeding all the way home. While Dax was running into the office he felt like everything was moving in slow motion. It took a lot for him not to push people out of his way while he was trying to make it to his son. Isabella was weaving her way through the crowd of people so she could get to Dylan's side.

When Dax finally made it to the front desk he practically yelled at the female nurse for Dylan's room number because she was taking too long to tell him. When the woman finally told him the room number he and Isabella ran up the stairs because they didn't have time to wait in an elevator. When they finally made it to the room  Dax burst through the door to see Maria crying.

"Dylan!" Dax said as he rushed over to his son.

"Daddy my head hurts." Dylan whined.

"I know son, I know. Let me see your head."

When Dylan sat up, Dax had to hold in his anger. He was mad at his mother for not paying more attention to the toddler, but he was more mad at himself because he wasn't there in time.

Dylan had seven inches worth of stitches in the back of his head and Dax was about to go crazy seeing his son in pain. He grabbed his son and hugged him tightly, wishing that he could take his pain away.

"Mother I need to talk to you." Dax said in a stern voice.

They left Isabella and Dylan in the room as they stepped out.

"Mother what exactly happened."

"We were playing, and he started to run down the stairs. I wasn't fast enough Dax he tripped and went tumbling down, there was blood all over the floor and he was starting close his eyes, then i rushed him to the hospital. I'm so sorry Dax! It's all my fault." Maria said through her sobs.

"Mother, he's alright that's all that matters. Come on."

When Dax and Maria walked back into the room Dylan was sitting in Isabella's lap and she was singing to him, but she stopped when she saw the two come back.

"I'm going to go sign the paperwork so we can go home."

When  Dax finished talking to the doctor and signing the papers for Dylan they were ready to go. Maria followed them home because she felt horrible that she let that happen to Dylan. Dax picked Dylan up out of his car seat and walked into the house. Dax carried him upstairs, he wanted Dylan to sleep with him that night because he wanted to be close to him. He slipped Dylan's jacket and shoes off and lied him down under the covers. He kissed his son's cheek and stared at him.

Meanwhile, Isabella and Maria were getting the luggage from the car. Maria still had a few teardrops falling from her face.

"I should go." Maria said walking back to her car.

"Maria, don't you want to say goodbye to Dylan?" Isabella asked.

"I"m so careless! I should've made sure the gate on the staircase was locked. Now my grand-baby is hurt!" Maria began to cry again.

"Then maybe you should go check on him before you leave."

Maria soon decided that she would check on her grandson. When she walked into Dax's room Dax was lying down beside Dylan reading him a bedtime story. When Dax noticed his mother in the room he walked out so she could say her goodbyes to Dylan.

"Gran why are you crying?"

"Oh, Dylan." She said hugging her grandson.

"It doesn't hurt that bad Gran." The child was lying, but he knew why his grandmother was crying and he didn't want her to feel bad.

"I love you so much Dylan, I'll be back tomorrow morning okay?"

"Okay. I love you too Gran." Dylan said kissing his grandmother's cheek.

Soon after Maria left Dylan went to sleep, then Dax and Isabella went to take a shower. Isabella took a shower first because they wanted one of them to keep an eye on Dylan at all times just in case anything happened. While Dax was in the shower Isabella lied down beside Dylan in Dax's bed. She too began to fall sleep.

When Dax got out of the shower he saw Isabella and Dylan sleeping peacefully in his bed. He slipped on a pair of green boxers. Dax walked over to the bed and lied down with them. He didn't plan on going to sleep so he just stared at the two people he cared about most in the world (besides his mother), as they slept.

"I love you both so much." He whispered as he kissed both of their foreheads.

While doing this he had unknowingly awaken Isabella.

It's official he always talks to us in our sleep. Isabella thought to herself.

Once Isabella was awake there was no going back to sleep. So once she was sure Dax had fallen asleep himself she kissed his and Dylan's cheek and walked into her bedroom to make a new diary entry.

Dear Diary,

This weekend has had it's ups and downs. The first part of it was magical. Dax took me to his house by the lake, it was the most perfect and peaceful place I've ever been. We even had sex for the first time, which was the best I'd ever had. It  was just as magical as everything else he surprised me with. From the picnic, to the ring, to the airplanes that flew over our heads carving hearts into the sky.

Today we got a call from Maria informing us that Dylan was hurt. I was so close to tears the whole entire ride home. It was mainly because I didn't know what happened to my sweet Dylan. But I just said prayers in my head hoping my baby was okay. His injuries were not bad  and he was able to come home. Him and Dax are asleep right now. I guess I'll go lay back down in case Dylan wakes up.

Isabella

Isabella walked back into Dax's room being careful not to wake them, then she heard a noise. It sounded like a vibrating cell phone. She searched around the room for Dax's phone until she found it in his jacket pocket. She picked up the phone and answered it.

"Hello." Isabella said.

"Hey Dax. I need to talk to you." Melanie replied.

Isabella was beyond mad.

"Dax is asleep." Isabella said trying to contain her anger.

"Oh, is this Isabella?"

"Yes."

"Can you wake him for me?" Melanie asked.

"No."

"It's important business."

"What business could you possibly have to deal with at eleven thirty at night?" Isabella asked.

"Look I understand you're just a part time nanny slash full time bed buddy, so I don't expect you to realize the importance of his job, but this is serious." Melanie said in a snobby voice.

That was the final straw for Isabella.

"Listen bitch, I have worked at a firm before. I know the 'importance' of his job. I'm not stupid so stop talking to me like I am. I have a master's degree in business and finance. What degree do you have? Oh that's right you're still in college. AND! Yes Ms. Finch I'm well aware you flunked out of Yale University, and from what I was told you only have a job because your daddy and Dax's were golf buddies. Dylan was hurt and that is Dax's main concern right now, so do not bother him with your nonsense.

Then Isabella hung up the phone.
