Glass of Water: part 1

AN: I decided to update again tonight this is only part 1 though

After the hug they went their separate ways. Dax went upstairs to give Dylan a bath and read him a bedtime story. Then he went to take a shower himself.

Isabella had just come out of the shower. She slipped on her fuzzy pajama shorts and a tank top. She pulled her hair into a bun. Then she sat down on the bed and pulled out her diary.

Dear Diary,

I went job searching today. And I actually got one. I'm a nanny now. I've always had a love for children, well my nephew and Dylan is a sweetheart. Dax's mother is quite funny she's very lively. Dax is my boss, my extremely handsome boss. I saw him shirtless today. He had just got finished working out and oh goodness the last time I saw a man that good looking was on The Bachelor. I officially start work tomorrow. That reminds me, I should call my sister and tell her that I've moved. I can't wait for Dylan to meet my nephew I know they'll get along just fine. Well I guess I'll go to bed now. But first I need a glass of water. I can't go tosleep without my water.

Isabella

Isabella closed her diary and placed it under her pillow. She walked down the stairs into the kitchen walking lightly so she didn't wake up Dax or Dylan. She drank her water, then washed the glass out. She turned around  and was startled by Dax. He was Calvin Klein boxers and a white tee shirt. He caught her before she fell.

"I'm sorry Bell I didn't mean to scare you." he apologized

"Oh no I'm sorry if I woke you I was coming to get some water."

"Me too I can't sleep without my glass of water."

"Really?" Isabella asked

He nodded yes. "Please come sit.''

Isabella followed him into the living room.

''Anything you'd like to watch on TV?" Dax asked.

"Um..do you watch The Big Bang Theory?"

''Who doesn't?" Dax exclaimed.

"I didn't think you'd have time, you seem like a busy man."

"I may be busy but I make time for the things that are important."

"The Big Bang Theory is important Dax?" Isabella laughed.

"Ha-ha no, I was talking about Dylan, I have a life outside of work. Well no I don't I have Dylan."

"I don't have a social life either, I really don't have any friends at all." Isabella chuckled.

"Well you've got me." Dax replied.

"You're my boss, Dax."

"That doesn't mean, we can't know each other on a personal level. Tell me about yourself Bell."

"I did that a lunch today."

"No, I mean tell me your hobbies, your favorite color, things like that."

"Um...I'm Isabella Anna Blake, my birthday is November 16th.  I love to cook, clean, and babysit. I guess I'd make the perfect house wife. My favorite color is blue by the way, like the color of your eyes. Now tell me about you Dax." Isabella said.

"Ha well...I'm Dax Johnathon Walker. I have a two year old son, but I think you know that. I inherited my business from my father he passed some years ago, and everything I do is for him. I love to work out and spend time with my son. OH ! And my birthday is October 4th. I'm older than you." He said with a wink.

Isabella laughed at that. They continued to talk about the characters in the show they were watching. Soon Isabella began to fall asleep. Her head rested on Dax's shoulder. He looked down at her admiring the way she had a slight smile even though she was sleeping. He picked her up and carried her upstairs into her bedroom. He pulled the covers back with one hand and held her with the other.

Dax carefully placed her in the bed and pulled the covers onto her. He noticed she had a large bruise on her thigh. He looked at it for a few seconds then he kissed his hand and placed it on her thigh. That's what his mother used to do when he was hurt or had a bruise from playing too rough outside. He pulled the cover up to her shoulders, and moved the hair out of her face.

"Sleep well, Isabella."

He turned to leave the room, but he looked back looking at her sleep peacefully.

"Dax, what have you gotten yourself into." he whispered silently to himself.

AN: as i said before this is only part one i will be updating again very soon btw i picture Dax as Ian Somerhalder. buuuuuuuut tell me what you think PLEASE! you can vote if you'd like *wink*
