It's January already.I'm on vacation but I have this meeting in NYC that isn't about R5,actually is about maybe a new job in Universal Records.Of course I haven't told Riker about it.Actually I haven't told anyone about it expect for Ellington.When I arrive at the Universal Records,a guy takes me to the president office,Mrs.Jones.
Serena:Mrs.Jones
Mrs.Jones:Please,call me Anastasia.
Serena:Call me Serena then...but this meeting is letting me curious,what do you want from me?
Anastasia:Well,you're a woman who gets right at the point,ok...I just fired the president in London and I need a person who is amazing in what it's doing and who I can truly trust
Serena:And what do you want from me ? Do you want me to indicate a person?
Anastasia:No...I want you in London...as the president
Serena:Sorry? 😯
Anastasia:You have done such an amazing job with R5...Look at the now,they're the one for this year,but I heard you're dating Riker and that can be very...prejudicial to both of you
Serena:I know that.
Anastasia:You know ? And yet you wanna take the risk? You know if one day,you get pregnant for example,you'd have to leave R5 because of the rule
The rule she is taking about is that managers can't work with the father/mother of their child because it could distract then and such think can't happen in the music industry.I look at her and nod.
Serena:I'd have to leave R5 but I'm already training Ryland to do that and Mark is co-manager.He knows how I act....But that's not happening now.
Anastasia:I know you leave Monday with R5 on tour.It's Tuesday,think about my proposal....Monday you'll take an airplane...to NYC or to Washaw...if I see a photo of you in Poland,I'll take it as a no...If paparazzi take photo of you here,I'll take as a yes.
Serena:It's a deal! Until Monday...anyway
Anastasia:Until Monday...Serena
Serena:Until...Anastasia.
I leave her office and I'm taken by the same guy out into my car.I go straight to my hotel.I lay in my bed and start thinking.I couldn't just leave R5 and go to another country,but this is all that I've ever wanted.No,no,no...Riker is everything I've wanted and I'd not put on the garbage us.I'd only leave if I prejudice R5 or Riker.I think so much that I ended up falling asleep.
After 3 days...
I'm in the hospital to do my check-up before the tour.I haven't talked to Riker about Anastasia proposal.I just talked about it with Ellington and surprise he told me to take it.He told Riker would understand.I actually don't think so but.The doctor came in and he had a worried yet happy face on.
Dr.Jenkins:Ms.Ratliff,I have exciting news for you.
Serena:Really?
Dr.Jenkins:Apparently,you'll be a mom
Serena:Sorry? Dr.Jenkins,It's not the time for joking
Dr.Jenkins:I'm not joking...We'll have a new Ratliff in 7 months...actually a new Lynch.
Serena:Doctor this cannot happen! I can't be pregnant! What about those shots I take? It's for me not supposed to be PREGNANT
Dr.Jenkins:Ms.Ratliff,the shots needs to be taken in 3 and 3 months
Serena:I took one last month
Dr.Jenkins:And according to your file,it was 5 months later than the other...so yes,you're pregnant
