I just finished my last meeting at Japan. I need to pack since I will leave a day after tomorrow. I felt like my phone vibrate. I was a first person who leave since I want to know who call me. Mom ? I was about to call back when someone bumped into me. Oh geez.
" I'm sorry " he apologize and helped me collect my things.
" I should look at where I - " he stopped talking when he looked at me.
" Minseo, right ? " I looked at him confusedly.
" It's me, Dongyup " his name kind of familiar.
" Don't you remember me ? I'm your close cousin " I know !
" You chicken dude ? " he laughed when I called him by his nickname.
He asked me to have some drink with him so why not. I have many things to ask him. If he was one of my close cousin, he must know a few things about me. I was about to open my mouth when he handed me an envelope. I raised my eyebrows.
" What's this ? " I asked him.
" Look at it when everything seem wrong " Okay, this make me more curious.
" So how now ? " I put away the envelope.
" I'm married " I showed my ring.
" That's new. Who was that ? A rich businessman ? Lawyer ? Pilot ? Doctor ? " why he list me that kind of work ?
" My secretary " a confuse look can be seen in his face.
" Sorry to ask but is it your dad bless - you know " He bit his lower lips.
" If before no, but these days they become close " I replied.
" I don't believe you " huh ?
" Your brother got kicked out because married someone who don't have name and how can he accept your husband ? " brother ?
" Wait, I have brother ? " I never know about this since before.
" Your brother lived alone since he entered high school. One day, he said he going to get married with person who don't have name I mean who not rich like that. Then, your dad kicked him out and told him to not come back because he not his son anymore " he explained.
" I guess it's truth when your dad never introduce him to you " He added. I can't believe what I just find out.
" I can't stay any longer. Inside that envelope have every answer. Check it later " with that he left.
I stared at that envelope curiously. What inside it ? I hold it. Should I open it or not ? I really want to know what dad hide from me. I took a deep breath. I was about to open it when my phone beeping. Someone text me.
[Message from 'Hubby Baek']
Dad got hospitalized.
My eyes widened when I saw this. I took my things and headed to my hotel to pack up. I need to leave by today. I can't hold any longer. Although I hate him, he still my dad after all. I booked flight ticket. Luckily, I have an hour before the flight fly.
When I arrived Korea, I straight to hospital that Baekhyun told me. I worried too much until I can't of anything. I saw Baekhyun waiting outside. I wonder where mom but first I need to find out about dad. I went to Baekhyun.
" Baek, is it everything fine ? " I asked him.
" Dad wants to meet you " Baekhyun said weakly. I nodded and pushed the door.
" My daughter " Dad said weakly.
" I'm really sorry for what I have done to you " He added.
" Doctor said I don't have enough time to live " Huh ?
" I only have a few months more. Please do me a favor " I still heard what he said. Why I got nervous ?
" Please marry Taehun. It's my last wish "
