"Can I ask you something?"

She avoided my eyes.

Playing with her fingers.

She always looked everyone in the face.

"Yes."

I nodded.

Curious.

She laughed nervously.

Scratching the back of her neck.

"Ahah, nevermind, actually."

I pinched her arm hard.

When she backed out.

I knew she had something important to say.

I wasn't letting this go.

"Don't bullshit me.

What is it?"

I asked.

"Nothing!

It's nothing, ok?

Forget it."

My eyes might have deceived me.

But I could swear.

Her cheeks were tinting pink.

"You're being weird..."

I said skeptical.

This wasn't her at all.

"I will get him back for this..."

She started talking to herself.

So fast I couldn't keep up.

"Get who back for what-?"

"I said nothing!

Shut up would you?

Jeez."

I shut my yap.

But wasn't about to give up.

Not just yet.

She paced for a while.

One, two, three.

Turn.

Suddenly she turned.

Looked at me.

And started blabbing.
